I also updated mine last night. 2.3.6 is Samsung's preparation for ICS to be ported to GSII along with other galaxy devices sometime in the first quarter of next year. I knew I made the right decision when I bought GSII over HTC Sensation. Way to go Samsung!!!

To all Filipino users of GS2, firmware update (KL1) is available via KIES. I'm currently updating mine but I don't know if it's 2.3.4,5 or 6. Nonetheless, an upgrade is an upgrade.

I have been using the my S2 for a week now and I am really loving it. My old phone was a LG Optimus Black. It did what I intended it to do, but I wanted more features the S2 offered. Very functional, easy to use and... it can take calls and sms. ;-)
