4.3" is not too large! It fits just fine in your pocket.
It takes a bit getting used to which isn't much of a problem. I used to own an HTC DesireHD before this which is wider than this one. I feel SII is quite compact considering its screen size. Stop criticizing this SuperPhone just because you've got tiny hands!

I'm on 2.3.7, and like you guys I'm from India.
Just install an official firmware from XDA-Developers website or hust google/youtube it. It's a simple, 3mins process and 100% safe. Grow up guys.. You just spent around Rs28000 on this phone. Don't miss out on the fun just because Samsung doesn't update you in time!! :/

Maxwell Lord, 20 Dec 2011I've got quick question for long time owners of this phone.... moreNo issues with that buddy.. It's got one hell of a CPU & unlike PC's & Laptops it doesn't have a cooling fan.
Get Android Assisstant app from market. It shows the battery temperature in it along with a lot of other features. Anything below 54°C should be okay, considering you must still be on 2.3.3 official firmware.
I'd advise you to update to 2.3.6, which is the latest official firmware from Samsung. Just goto XDA website and you should find how to do it under Galaxy S II (I9100) Original Android Development forum. It's the official firmware so you shouldn't worry about it. Updating should improve your phone's performance, keep it cooler as well as fast.

lol this phone is so big that in the way u will never think this phone is phone, how can u put something so big in your pocket or hold in hand, u need phone not lap top to hold in hand...wake up go for nokia n9 and feel the power !!!

U can root ur phone to any avilable latest firmware. But its not recomended bcoz it can void ur warranty nd cause any problem to ur phone. So i recommend better wait 4 official ics update frm samsung india.

Even I was using a sony-ericsson K810i cyber-shot before my S2.
believe me, there is no comparison between their camera
with its xenon flash, the 3.2mp for k810 SOMETIMES outclasses the sammy's 8mp
just think abt the N8's monstrous 12mp with xenon!!!
I love my S2 and i'm proud of it, but the choice always depends on your requirement as i said earlier

guys whenever i am typing sms which goes beyond the size of 3 sms's it is automatically converting the same to mms, how can i stop it from not doing that that too without installing any software, i am aware of go sms pro can do that but need help without it, the default settings of mms settings to be restricted is not working.
please help

I've got quick question for long time owners of this phone.
I got mine today, a white one.
The questions is. Is it just natural for it to heat up a little bit (I can feel the warm feeling after doing some changes in my settings and i haven't yet used any apps or downloaded any games to play) and it suddenly heats up during usage. So is this natural or it has something to do with a problem with the unit or the battery or its just simply normal for this phone or any other android phone around?
