Dear Samsung
Today was the day i was disappointed about my S2
The phone was switching off by it self (automatically) I never thought it will happen to my phone so I browsed the web to see its a common problem I recently bought this phone from HK. Now im in sri lanka. I cant even change the phone
I thought this was the best phone in the world you disappointed me S2 Im really sad..
I believe its because the battery is loose that may be the reason why its switching off by it self.
Never expected this from you samsung :(

I had this phone now for months and i had no prob whatsoever, i still have the Gingerbread 2.3.3 version and still the phone remains fantastic. The only 1 small prob that i have on this phone is battery life... on moderate usage just for calls and text it'll last for 2-3 days what i do is turn off these things....
1. wifi - off (when not in use)
2. GPS - off
3. Background data - off
4. Packet data - off
5. 3g - off (just choose GSM)
6. Bluetooth - off (when not in use)
7. install - Adv task killer app.
.... with these turned off your battery should last your 2 days or more(depends on usage). But if your heavy on WiFi with background data and GPS .. then i suggest you either get a spare battery w/dock charger or get used to charge the phone at least 5 times a week. But i tell you, this phone is FANTASTIC !!!!! The hell with battery life, just get the damn phone and have fun !!! Enjoy dude !!!!

How can a person like you advise to charge this phone for 8 hours, be it is for first time? Haven't you noticed that when battery is fully charged, further charging is stopped? I have checked this in both, on and off positions. I have keenly watched this for over more than 7 months of use. From 5 to 100 it takes around 3 hours in on position, it may very depending upon number of apps running. Phone should be unplugged when movement in/below battery icon is stopped.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
Expert comments are welcome over this issue.

[deleted post]I agree if i play angry birds for 2 hrs followed by a card game with screen full blast etc ,for example heavy use it will last about 5-6 hours..So if you go a bit lighter like medium use expect 12-16 hrs but light use i get 2 days easy..
I have had so many smartfones its unbelievable to some folk but the sgs2 is bar far the best full touchscreen smartfone..It has 2 problems for me,
1)A bit too big
1)It would be better with slide out T9 keyboard or qwerty slide out because i am button person at heart.OR send/end real button keys with 5 way d-pad at botton where home button is would help me a lot.

AnonD-10882, 07 Dec 2011i was told to charge it for 3 hours by the shop whr i bough... moreThis is how i have done my charging since about 2004 i think or 2003 cannot be sure..I either get lovely new mobile home and charge for 12-16hrs for first charge,,then i flatten and charge the mobile 7-10 times and then i just do what i want with it..
The other way is if you get home stick battery in mobile and its below 50% OR fairly discharged i just flatten it and then do a 12-16 hour first charge followed by 7-10 full discharge/charge cycles...
I have only ever had to buy a battery for a mobile thats completly been used to death(about 4.5-5 years old) and thats my 6630 which is about 7 years old ..I am not saying i have not bought any other batterys as i often buy extended batterys for smartfones ie Mugen..
I have never had a dud battery in about 200 mobiles i have tried over the years but hell fire their have been mobiles with poor battery life..

ash, 07 Dec 2011Dear All, I have just bought Samsung GS2..its amazing..b... moreI have been using sms since 1998 here in UK and never had an sms problem except when their is no cellular coverage..I have never heard of a 90 character limit and wonder if its your operater at fault..I have just sent 2 text messages at 160 character limit with no problems,its one of the stranger problems ive encountered over the years..

hi guys im from the philippines and i wanna know if the newer batch of gs2 still got the heating, yellowish tint and pink spot in camera? and if the newer batch already updated to latest gb version? they say that the 2.3.3 stock is the culprit of the heating issue and once its 2.3.4 its resolved can any1 confirm this cuz i want this phone so much but i dont want problems with it, PLS REPLY THANK U GUYS....

Do not buy s2 white color (i9100G)! My fren using it, it is sometimes lag and many time hang when open camera,launcher or some mini game. Processor and graphic not nice as expected, some game (asphalt6)encounter graphic crash. More problem than my s plus. Both not recommended. HTC far more stable as i tried. S2 shouldnt lag for any sec as it is expensive, but few ppl tell the truth at here.

I have just bought Samsung GS2..its amazing..but i am having serious issues with my SMS..i cant send an SMS more than 90 characters..i even downloaded GO SMS Pro and Handcent SMS but there was error sending messege...please help..anybody

Asphalt 6 Adrenaline HD is now available for s2 for free at Samsung Apps ... anyone try it ?! it's very awesome but it's drain battery very fast and heated the phone but it's cool :D

Samsung S2 is a good android smartphone. It's light and great for online and games but photo quality from S2 is below my expectation, isn't as clear if compare to sony ericsson arc. The battery only lasted for a day or even lesser, for normal use and it hanged for few times....any recommendations?
