hi all, right i have had an iphone and a htc wildfire and this galaxy s 2 is by far is best smart phone i have ever had it has i great camera and can hold buckets of music and pictures and touch wood it has never gone wroug. well done samsung for making a great phone

Fast Battery Drain issue **RESOLVED** - may have already posted this but once more would not harm anyone but maight be helpful for some, follow the steps -
1)settings->Accounts & Sync->Background Data-> Tick it (no problem and is used for most of the background work done by android OS)
2)settings->Accounts & Sync->Auto Sync-> UNTick this option, this is the major battery draining evil on android OS, if you untick this, you will not get the push email feature with the inbuilt gmail client, but, forget inbuilt GMail client, download K9 push email client, its free and built by android developers, so its safe and is having more features than inbuilt app., without ticking auto sync, this client works like charm for push email with only ticking background data ticked, will not at all consume more battery, so its very safe and will not hurt your battery.
3)keep your display brightness for 20%, i think its enough for indoor use(this is what i use),
with the above settings, Im getting the battery to last for more than 24 hrs, with regular use of Internet Radio (for more than 1 hr a day), more than 30 mins of youtube HD video streaming, 20 emails received, 10 mails sent (both via K9 app), making & receiving calls will not consume that much of battery on this superfone....so just test this and see the diff.
if any one else is having any other tips, please share it here.....! and this is all with mt 1650mah battery, running 2.3.5 rooted but stock kernel XXKIE3(declared one of the best kernel by XDA Devs on the website)...good times.

But I can't connect it to my wifi network!!! :S it searched for the network and I typed the password but it says ..connecting.. Then scanning and then disconnected ..:(:( why is it like that?? And it keeps in retrying!! Any help please?? :(

AnonD-28993, 29 Nov 2011So how do i know if its a fake unit???mate, who told you about the fake unit!! there is no such a thing, gs2 doesn't have any fake simply because the technology is so advance that NO ONE but OEM samsung can build this amaizing phone!
so get it and enjoy it, 4s is already dead in the water, all the hype was for nothing.
gs2 will keep up with the latest handsets for years to come, and still will be the best, already proven to be better than 4s.

I have a Nokia N97 is looking to upgrade end oF next month this phone has given me problrms over problems. I Phone 4 contracts too expencive. But this Galaxy S2 is looking reel good. Price is not bad but is it realy better than the I phone 4. And reliability is n big thing. I dont want freesing and restarting.

has anyone tried using a game controller to play games with this beast????

Anyway, why not use LCD Resolution from Market and set a lower resolution? It will make some apps weird, still there are alternatives for them.
The default is 240.
Make sure what you are doing before doing it.

This is a great phone. If only it had a higher pixel density. Higher rest the s3 may fix this. I still prefer the s2 over the nexus. The s3 may have a 12mp but theml doesn't matter, its the cmos sensor that matters. And the s3 rumours of a larger sensor than the iphone 4s. 32Gb internal memory with sd support. I'm looking forward to the s3. But in the meantime my s2 is full of delight. Like I said the only thing tht lets it down is the sharpness lackingles, ppi if higher would have helped. But the images and txt don't look as crisp as my old n900 I have to say. But its fine an I dont want to, complain. Really it's good enough
