Loud speaker for this phone is really good, I used to listen to music streaming in my office with the clear crisp sound coming from my SGS2.
When a call arrives, the ringing sound is really awesome!
Also when I use a good pair of bluetooth stereo headset the sound is excellent!

It's just a matter of camera setting and power saving setting.
Explore your phone thoroughly first before complaining!
Or have you ever owned this phone? I doubt...

roy, 14 Nov 2011alarm wont work when it is switched offIS simple becoz the phone is off. i.e. when a computer is shut down mean is shut down.
I know you refering to some phone example nokia the phone is off but the alarm still work. This more to person prefer, some prefer when it off mean totally shut down, some perfer the phone shut down at night but the alarm still work. For S2 case you just turn the phone to flight mode it save the battery and alarm still work

pratik, 14 Nov 2011all of you are blind without Samsung, Nokia.... etc. becau... moreiphone is a piece of shit like a rotten apple!!! large icons and very basic functions... without applications it is totally dead like stone. i remember those previous ipods 1st 2nd 3rd generations whew didnt last and causing trouble, freezes , squeechy sounds while playing music.. charge all the time.... you cant even have a battery back-ups... just bring charger all the time.... even now these iphones and ipods still same. samsung is the best of the best or number 1 in the technology -->samsung galaxy s2 not iphone 4s

Just sold this device out coz cant stand with it's short battery life and the awful over saturated image that this phone camera produce! i have never experience such terrible camera b4.

The browser is faster an... moreWhen you longpress the home-key on S2 you can see the recent 6 used apps/games but if you press the "task-manager button" below these recent 6 apps then you see all apps/games that are open in the background! I now have 30 apps and games open in the background plus writing this comment using Opera-mobile, and there is no lag at all!

The browser is faster an... moreThose youtube N9 multitasking videos do not impress at all because having a lot of paused apps in the background is not real multitasking and having a lot of, every, open browser webpage show as an open app in the list of of open apps in the background is definetly not multitasking at all and only makes the list of open apps too long!
Ice Cream Sandwich have a similar list showing all open apps, but not every open browser-webpage!

Swipe on N9 is actully a problem because users often accidentaly move to the homescreen, and N9 can still only use "repacked" Android-apps, and N9 still do not have any software for the FM-radio hardware, and N9 have really sharp uncomfortable painful corners, and N9 can not even handle Flash 11 in the browser, and N9 is a lot more expensive than S2...!
