i have 2 samsung phone. Samsung galaxy S2 and galaxy mini. I am satisfied with their performance. But both of them has battery backup issue. If i surf internet, listen to music or play games then i have to charge them twice a day. It's very annoying for me. Android is the leader of smartphone os now. But there many people around who doesn't like android for this reson. My brother has htc desire S and nokia C6-01. He sayr to me that he mainly use the nokia C6-01 and hardly use htc because of the battery backup issue. Every android phone has battery backup issue. Google should fix this problem. I am very disappointed for this. If good performance means less batteryup then I can use a netbook.

Hi everyone
has any of you used the app called
ES file explorer?
I have got it but on LAN I can't make it to connect to my pc
basically I follow the instruction on the screen ,
go to New, add server, then enter IP address and chosen username and password, press Ok
then when I wan to connect it says login failur, which after pressing Ok on that ask for username and password, which I enter, but still don't let me access my LAN (which is my PC)
If you know it , please let me know, I am desprate to use this

when i synchronize phone contacts with facebook contacts, how can i keep the display contact name the same i saved it on phone and NOT that saved on facebook,,,,really son=mething annoying me !!

Because most of the features you mentioned earlier are not basic, they are seldomly use and very few people utilise them that is why it will be just an option to install a third party apps.
Samsung don't like your SGS2 to be crowded with useless apps!
You can stick with your N8!

Suhanoo, 10 Nov 2011I've been using SGS2 for last three weeks. I'm facing some ... more1. Install GO SMS Pro to be able to put as many recipients as you like when writing SMS. Because not all people are doing it that is why Samsung just put in as an option to install.
2. Those profile options are useless because it is very tiresome every time to always change your ringing profile.
I have experienced that with my SonyEricsson phone. At first yes but later I decided to stick to General profile and silent the phone when it is needed.
3. Live wallpaper consumes too much battery and also wallpaper that is in landscape. They put it for those who do not care about the battery charge and more of the elegant look of the screen.
4. Sending image from phone to a PC via bluetooth is a thing of the past, you can now send images file via WiFi through AllShare or Kies. Anyway even you left your bluetooth running, the phone will still ask your permission whether to allow the connection from somebody you do not know. Don't compare it to an unlocked car.
5. When in homescreen, if I you want to go left to right, (page 1 to page 7) you just need to press the dots just above the task bar. Press number 1 dot if you want to go to the first page or the seventh dot if you want to go directly from page 1 to page 7.
6. I don't know with your unit but my SGS2 map shows my exact location.
7. Yes because you have been using it for only three weeks the battery is getting hot during charging at first maybe because it is new, but later it will disappear. Same as my unit, now it is more than three months and the battery is not getting hot during charging.
Explore your phone thoroughly before complaining. This is the best phone ever.

my phone is getting first problen in first month only...my sim card is nt detected when i put it in the sim tray...i went to samsung care and they said mother board will b changed...and i dont think that its a good option as my phone is a new one only...so pls can any one tell me any option how to ask for the replacement of my cell phone....in india...pls helppp

I have been using galaxy S2 since quite a few months now...it's a very nice phone...the only problem i face is short battery life...it is horribly poor...hardly lasts for a day..

You just need to go to the camera settings and click "Focus mode" then select "Auto focus".
