Whats going on Australia how come youve still got 2.3.3 version, all of us here here waiting for 2.3.4, while some other countries got 2.3.5 already we're so envious with them. And how come Google NEXUS is on 2.3.4 already. Go OZ you better do something about it or else we will be left behind.

Hello Guys!
I've been reading/watching reviews and comments about S2 for almost a month now. I'm planning to buy since this mobile came to the market,but unfortunately I've doubt on camera, screen and OS. Everything's perfect but those bad issues and problems on the net as I'm also reviewing those it makes me doubt this device.
CAMERA - there's pink spot in the middle when pointing to a medium bright area
SCREEN - there's a yellowish part on the left side (other claims it's only in the settings)
OS - sometimes hangs due to applications
Please share me your thoughts about this issues, I am ready to buy anytime I want. By the way, I am here in Jeddah, KSA and warranty is also one of my concern for replacement if necessary.

Make sure that any hard/sharp material doesn't come in contact of the screen, like Keys, Sands etc...You have invested 650$ behind that, there shouldn't be any problem if you invest another 10$ just to protect that beauty screen.
Better Battery Stats or BBS is an App which will show what apps/processes are running on Background and causing Wakelocks and Battery drainage. It's a very useful app. Try the XDA version first, if you like it just BUY it.

It will only scratch if done intentionally or under too much pressure scratching the screen or using it roughly. And why would you do that?

I have a question regarding the default NAVIGATION apps which comes with GS2
I am based in UK, and since I got this phone (2 weeks ago) I can use this navigation apps for free, which I believe is a google map based.
NOW my question is , is this part of the tiral period? would this stop working in 2 weeks time?
does anyone knows how much its after the tiral period?
basically in the apps there is no information regarding the price, nore it says this is a trial period!! so I am totally confused by it!

5. Select "Check for update"
6. If "No update available" appear means the update is not yet available in your region.
Even via Kies, if update is not available in your region the same notice will appear. So why make things complicated using Kies when you can update directly through your phone?

At least 20 threads are there to complain about the screen, how it got scratched quite easily. So a Protective Screen is a must, a good one I mean.
Also ATK is NOT advised in Android. Use Better Battery Stats and see what apps are causing Wakelocks.

About Firmware, you can upgrade to 2.3.5 ROM of other regions, like I am using XXKI3, you could flash it with Odin. Search XDA for more info.
I don't believe India will anymore updates after 2.3.3 KF3, Indian Customer Support of Samsung is shite.
