gs2 fan, 25 Oct 2011I don't get this yellow spot!!! can someone please tell me... moreits on the left side of the screen ... completely reduce the brightness,, bring up the keypad or keyboard.. check the colour difference between the right side of the keyboard n the left... shud be clearly visible.. if u dont notice anything ur screen is perfect.. :)

You have to shoot wi... morethankx a lot mate... ur right..just checked the screenshot on my pc n the tint isnt there... its just not visible. ahh not just grey, visible on other backgrounds as well when the screen is dim.. although grey enhances it all the more.. downloading screen adjuster.. let see how it works.. sorry but i dont believe there isnt a perfect screen.. this is a pretty acute problem.. very musch visible on the fone. specially when typing cause of the grey keypad.. clearly a defect.. others cant make out cause they dont have it obviously.. gotta check with samsung... anyways thnkx for the help..

just one question regarding wisepilot,
lets say you choose your rout, and then in the middle you want to find the alternative route, I couldn't find any option to do that!! also live traffic doesn't appear in the main navigation screen, you need to choose another option to display it separate!!
overal, I still think is an excellent apps, how is the support like?
are you based in UK?

AnonD-21008, 25 Oct 2011I stay in the middle east n i have the defect. no its clear... moreScreenshot won't show the Yellow tint. You have to shoot with Camera. Besides the patch is only visible on Grey background, that also below 25% brightness. Use 'Screen Adjuster' from Market and turn Blue higher, it will make the screen little bit Bluish but the yellow tint would be less visible.
Also keep in mind there is NO perfect display out there.

I promised to do a complete review on this phone yesterday, but im saving it for today so here goes. After heavy use of the handset over the weekend this is what i found:
Camera - Class. No yellow tint. Beatuful colour in the shots, fantastic HD video capability, probably THE best camera i have owned.....and not just on a phone.
Apps - Fast to download and PLENTY of choice. All of them download fast and without any blips. No worms/bugs or anything as i have the Samsung Security App. Brilliant.
Battery - Now, loads have complained about this, but im telling you now, there are NO problems at all. I get a day and a half of HEAVY use ie. App downloading, phone calls, Skype Calls, Texting, gaming and browsing CONSTANTLY.
Design - Beautiful and light. My dad and brother (and mother actually) commented that it was HUGE and didnt like it. We went for a meal and THEY COULD NOT KEEP OFF IT!! They are iPhone 4 users. Enough said.
Call Quality - Do i need to mention it? No problems at all, crystal clear.
Overall this phone gets a 10/10 for me. No blips, faults or anything at all wrong with it. I even watched a few fights over the weekend on www.boxnationtv.co.uk and it streamed FASTER then my actual HP Computer. Wow.
Downside - Keyboard is a little small for a 4.3 inch bad boy. Still, its not a MASSIVE problem.
One word for this phone - CLASS. I guarantee i will be using this for AT LEAST the contract period, and may not even upgrade. Simple as.

One more question. do these task killers actually help?? i have one installed n its like it kills apps on screen off but whenever i check my data balance its around half an mb lower. whatsapp fb, antivirus r only few apps tht remain active. rest all r killed. They shudnt take half or one mb of data... Also game hub always remains active even it is forced stopped. any soln

I think by this time, since many are complaining... moreThe size of the pink spot in the camera is different for each firmware, so I think this can be fixed with a camera-software-update! The yellow tint is probably not a real problem because you should not really expect white to be truly "white", it will always be little grey or "yellow" when the display is set to a low brightness.
Is anyone outside India having this yellow-tint-problem, if not then there could be a problem with the phones made for India?

Other way just try the Android market, there are lots of apps there that offer free music downloads.
You can also ask Mr. Google, he knows better.

AnonD-18025, 25 Oct 2011Could you check that yellow tint on the screen many are des... moreif u dont have a yellow tint doesnt mean others r lying... n a hell lot of ppl are saying that ... many handsets have the yellow screen defect... and the pink tint in camera too.. moreover this is true for many handsets regardless from where u buy it... a person buys from from an electronic store, online or from the samsungs authorized dealer... chances are there will be a problem...... its a 'manufacture defect'

Use moderate internet too, some WiFi, no music or streaming
