I just got a brand new S2 GT-I9100, but when I set the vibration to high levels it sounds like a car horn or something like that. Also, it's a bit ''metallic'' - there's a tiny split second of ''echo'' when the vibration ends.
Is this normal for S2, after all it is a very thin device so vibration resonance should be very noticeable anyway? Does yours sound similar? When I shake the device nothing rattles inside, so I presume everything sits tight in place.

guys im new user of s2 all apps r perfect..the only issue is my battery gets drained in 5 hours even if im not using it...please s2 experienced users tel me how to save my battery life..

2.never use battery app as it ask for battery permissionand always shows 100% charge even battery is not fully charge..
3.unplug the charging cable after it shows full charge not on 100% charge as its still charging..
3.to controle the phone idle battery consumption go to setting>apps>all>google play services...this will disable your hangouts app but stop idle battery consumption..phone just consume battery because of buggy update from google wait for the next update and instale it again..thanks

Does anyone of you have this problem with the notifications bar: when very bright colors (yellow, white, etc.) are on the screen, the notification bar turns black, and when there are dark colors on the screen, it turns gray?

hi guys, I am also a s2 owner from past 3 yrs and I am proud to be s2 owner, I am also facing the same problem but I did certain changes which helped me a lot in saving my s2 battery life my suggestions to all s2 owners would be if they are facing the same problem;
1) disable power saving mode given by samsung
2) do not use live wallpaper & launcher which gives u live support
3) do not use task killer aps
4) keep on clearing background application with one touch method
5) most important install GO GREEN APP from android market if not satisfied use JUICE DEFENDER BUT surely GO GREEN WILL DEFINITELY work
6) nerver charge battery to 100% and do not overcharge your battery for this use FULL BATTERY AND THEFT ALARM WHICH tells u battery ischarged giving u alarm
I hope these precautions will help u a lot and I will suggest u to purchase extra battery which costs u a little RS 560 if u are travelling a lot
