the battery life is too short coz of its HSDPA and display usage.. phone gets heated up soon wen Data connections are active.. disable APN wen u don't use data connections.. download the APN on/off widget from the market that makes u easy to switch on and off the internet connectivity.. you could get a battery backup for more than a day if the data connections are inactive...

Have anybody installed other Navigation than Google Maps? Does anyone knows were can I find it? I need navigation for Europe and need maps to be installed on the phone, not using internet all the time.

Battery life is better but do u use videos and games than battery will decrease quickly other than is Good.

Hi all, 1stly thx gsmarena for this wonderful feedback column. I was planning to buy my 1st ever smartphone while my mobile plan is going to expire. My wife using iphone3 and all my friend using iphone4 and some still iphone3. I love the build of iphone but not its freedomless iOS and the small screen. I will not buying it unselss it is very cheap. That brought me to other smartphones: htc and samsung. Thx gsmarena again I am able to read good reviews and due to my hand-on experience with iphone, i am able to read review with clear mind. iOS = style (Apple). Android = freedom => style (personal).
I am lucky when 1 need my 1st ever smartphone and the market is quite mature and have plentty of choice from budget android till hi-end android and also iOS. So i bought this SGS2. Was worried its heat and battery isses and wanted to by htc. But htc internal momery turned me away. I do not feel good with it 1GB storage.
Having this SGS2 for 1 week till today, I can say, this phone do not heat up as much as what I read here. It is acceptable for normall usage and I did experienced iphone3 and 4 heat up as much as well. Played simple angrybirdies game for 1 to 2 hrs non-stop the heat is lesser than iphone3. The battery life is, as expected, drain very fast. I can accept it because i seen plentty of apps running there: live photo frame, live wallpaper, 3G data and other android os apps. The android OS is busy. I did tried surfnet with iphone4 2 to 3 hrs long (just to ready SGS2 heat issues and battry issues)and its battery drain fast too from 96% ti 24%.
The only unexpected issue to me is alarm clock. I almost late to work when the 1st time i using its alarm clock. I switch off the phone and the alarm failed to wake the phone. Android OS gig fail in this I think becaouse it seem is nature of Android OS. I bought it and have to accept it. I now using my old SonyEricsson C510 as my alarm clock and it served me perfactly from 2 yrs back til now.
Am I happy with this SGS2? As my 1st smartphone, yes. I love it and I am glad I buy it and not iphone.

After comparing the specs. between the Samsung omnia i900 and above, i have come to the conclusion that there is not much difference between them except for internal memory and screen size of the Galaxy.
Therefore i claim that the Omnia i900 is as good as the Galaxy,only smaller and i surf the web with ease via my WiFi connection and enjoy all the facilities the Galaxy gives.
I Own 3 Samsung Omnia`s and is very happy with them and definitely would not need to replace with any thing else except add a Nokia E7 to my collection.

Hi Guys,
I need your help. I have unlimited data plan with the carrier. I set the SGSII as a mobile hotspot, sad to say it worked for 2 hours only. After that I have to reset again. Compared to my earlier SGS, I have no problem on the mobile hotspot, just leave it on until morning, no problem at all. Any ideas what do I do?

Hi,
I just bought this Galaxy S2 in a shop from Bangalore.
The phone worked fine for first 2 days and then there is a problem - The person who I talk to using this phone hears a lot of echo of his/her own voice. And my voice also is very feeble to hear from the other end. Although I have reported this problem to the showroom and service center they are very complacent about it. My phone for which I have paid 30,000 Rs has to be opened for a repair within a week of purchase. Another friend of mine from Hyd also facing similar issues.

Guys, I tell you one thing....
I have iphone 4, N8, Droid 2 and Galaxy S2. I tell you Galaxy S2 beats them in all hands down. Seriously I did not find any fault in this mobile from the days i got my hands on it... No mobile satisfied me this much... Don think abt it... Just get SGS2. It is worth every penny of it...
