isti, 05 Aug 2011i just purchased this beast couple of hour ago and i charge... moreU have to wait till the phone shows a 100% charged message .. it's an icon on the status bar.
Generally it's advised to have the 1st 3 charges an overnight ones or about 8 to 10 hours charge.

leerock, 05 Aug 2011how to update the cpu to version 2.3.4It's not released officially yet, so wait for it. Otherwise you always can flash a leaked 2.3.4 from www.samfirmware.com, which I don't recommend.

few hours back i was so happy about buying SGS 2 !!!
just now came to know my device cant do what a phone supposed to do...i am unable to call anybody :D !!!
it goes automatically on airplane mode whenever i try to make a call !!! any idea guys???
i am the unlucky one i guess...will have to replace it tomorrow...i hope the next SGS will turn out to be good !! :)

Hi everyone, I just have 1 question and I hope someone could respond to this: If I plug the data cable in my pc, is it normal that the KIES application is activated in the device? I was coming from a Samsung Wave experience and whenever I would plug the cable in my pc, it would give me a choice on either to select the kies or mass storage and so on and so forth. Is there a way on how I could access immediately the memory card so I could save files in it? Pls. help.

ya i agree dat dis is d best phone in the market ryt now.. but its battery sucks.. i dont kno y dey have mentiond 18.20 hrs of talktime and 710 hrs of stndby time... my phone goes dead with normal usage in just 15-20 hrs....

"Kies Hate - 94% People Agree (333 opinions)" -Amplicate collects opinions of people who hate and love Kies. A Google search will confirm similar comments from users. I have made numerous attempts to install the Samsung Kies properly - every time I got the message : "The program can't start because MSVCR100_CLR400.DLL is missing from your computer." I check my computer that confirm that it does have the DLL. I have in fact installed the 5th August 2011 Kies update but the problem remains. So the above survey by Amplicate confirms the Kies is a sucky software! consequently I cannot (inter alia) upgrade my firmware!
Samsung , please forthwith do something about this software otherwise your sale of Galaxy S2 ((and your reputation) will be adversely affected.

I really recommend this phone to business person, forget blackberry and iphone, this phone far too good and powerful,the battery, well, superb, i meant every word...hehe

I have had this phone for the last one month everything is good except the battery nd top end of the phone get hot¤replaced three phones under warranty ,still the same.
