In IE tools LAN Settings select 'Automatically detect settings', and you can start browsing...

I am also from India. I also have S2. You can insert a storage card in S2. Go to contacts. press left side bottom button. you will get an option export contacts to sd card. carry out the export. Switch off phone. take out sd card. then carry out factory reset and create a new google account with new password. remember it.This will give you access to market. Then switch off phone. insert sd card. again go to contacts ,you will get an option import contacts from SD card.It is normally a vsf extension file if I am not wrong.Carry out import from SD card. You will get all your contacts back.
hope this helps. trust me, this is the best phone out there. worth every paisa you pay.

By far the best phone. iPhone 4 design is stunning but specs and performance of SGH 2 is beyond any phone in the market. Totally impressed. One question-
can i update to 2.3.4 OTA or i have to use the kies? OTA indicates device is up-to-date but its 2.3.3! anyone?

Like i wanna wa... moreYou need an MHL cable it cost me 15GBP here in UK ,it fits into usb slot on sgs2,you then plug your charger into MHL cable to power things,,outputing 1080p and mirroring must take its toll on battery i suppose but could be wrong..
I keep saying here in UK and using GBP because it is a world forum and currency and geographical location help folk..Also just cause i like sgs2 does not mean you will i would still PREFER the BB or Nokia e6 formfactor or clamshell or slider but no-one makes them with all the power and spec og sgs2..Not yet anyway..

The main issues with this phone from what I can see is the battery life and over heat. Not a problem for me since I'm a casual user but if you're a heavy user you will probably get paranoid about the phone getting hot. From what I can tell games and 3G use makes it happen faster.
Aside from that, amazingly phone :). Typed this with this phone.

I have heard from people commenting that Samsung I9100 Galaxy S2 is a really amazing smart phone. I have also seen the comparison between S2 and IPhone 4. S2 has some features as compared to IPhone 4. But what i am interested in knowing is that what are the really issues with the Samsung Galaxy S2. Could anyone who has used S2 can comment on the issues(problems) only please.

Nexus s sold and back with sgs2 it just cant be beaten..I have recreated the Nexus s homescreen at last i knew it was something simple just d/load gingerbread launcher..SORTED. I have been on a little journey over past 2 weeks but sgs2 just works ,absolute fantastic customisation,lucid fluid 1080p video record,,ultra audio quality using Wolfson DSP chip with sammys 3D surround sound,,excellent battyery using 2.3.4 via darky92 ROM..better reception than sensation in same room in same spot,,slim as hell,powerfull as hell...
Just buy and enjoy and my next smartfone will be the sgs3 using quadcore but will try BB9900 plus others..

bought the phone new factory unlock, 3g-h connection freezes at least 2 times a day with stock Rom. Upgrade to 2.3.4 kg2 VIA odin. no recommended Rom, the 3g-h issue persists, though little improvement in battery, the gps inaccurate to say the least.
Upgraded yesterday to Android 2.3.4 kg3 VIA odin, amazing Rom, the 3g-h issue solved it seems, gps return to accurate and so much smoothness, web pages load lightning fast. the swype seems slightly inaccurate.
Disconnected at 6:30 am today, at 16:10 it shows 48% with intensive browsing, watching videos, 40 minutes calling, etc.
This is truly a monster, hope this helps
