    in my experience this phone is faster than any netbook and its absolutely wonderfull. If somebody says it is not good enough means that they are paid by the rival companies. I sympathise for people buy some brands by seeing all the corporate advertisements and paying themselves for those adverts and buying home half the RAM and restrictive operative systems.
    in every aspect this phone is supereb.

      guys i need info about the sound quality of this masterpiece while plugging the headphones, any detailed info will be very appreciated becoz my main concern in phones is the sound quality...

        I understand there is a dramatic improvement in the battery when upgraded to 2.3.4. anybody that has installed this new version can you share your view on battery life. thanks

          simply an amazing piece of technology wrapped in a wafer thin casing...you can't get better than this phone

                  Well, I'll have to say that this is the best phone I've ever owned. It is soooo unbelievably fast. While waiting for the release I had to make a decision between those desired devices: HTC sensation, iPhone 4 or SGSII and I sure hadn't made a mistake of buying SGSII. Otherwise I think that none of those three amazing devices is a bad purchase. If I had another chance of buying a smartphone I would probably pick HTC, just because it's cheaper,

                            1.Goto your Sd/Media/Audio
                            2.Create new folder and rename it with ringtones
                            3.copy / put your mp3 in ringtone folder
                            4.then you can change your fav mp3 as your ringtones when someone call you

                            for message / notification
                            1.Goto your Sd/Media/Audio
                            2.Create new folder and rename it with notifications
                            3.copy / put your mp3 in notifications folder
                            4.then you can change your fav mp3 as your notification tone

                                any one can help? i bought this phone 1 month ago from emirates,i live in egypt,i want to ask 2 questions:

                                1-is the battery really takes about 3 hrs to be fully charged or there is something abnormal with my piece?

                                2-every time i try to go to software update on my wifi it tells me connection error.is this due to no official update available,or because updates not available in my country or what? thx alot

                                        Shirmayne, 14 Jul 2011Hi~ I'm still thinking whether want to buy Samsung galaxy S... moreRight i had this for a while but found it too big for me but found battery life good..

                                        After years of famous mobile battery testing 2 things are BIG battery killers,

                                        1) The screen brightness..

                                        2)3g signal..

                                        I had an Nokia e72 and with my usage got 5 days with screen at 50% brightness...I then after a few months thought why not go full brightness,,this brought my battery life down to just over 2 days with same usage..I then started using 3g and this brought it down to 29hrs..

                                        So whatever model ive used in the past if you can knock it down to 3g when NOT needed and put brightness down to as low as is possible for youthat best for battery...

                                        I do find WI-FI not as battery killing as 3g and bluetooth left switched on does not have much of a battery impact.

                                        NOw the next big thing is how much you use your phone,,if you are a heavy user then you will have to compromise something OR buy 2 batterys OR buy extended battery..

                                        Thats best advice i can give,,people want thin fones and dont want aerials sticking out like a proper mobile phone used to be so compromises have to be made..If the sgs2 was 2 mm thicker with say 2200mA battery and had a pull out aerial it would be superb battery but no-one would really buy it..That pull out aerial would increase signal strength and increase battery...Folk cannot have it always ATM.
