The error only comes when the phone is not in idle mode, i.e some application is running.

Just wondering has anyone had any issues with the phone turning itself off and not turning back on? I have only had my GS2 for two weeks and it started doing this to me last night

i hv purchd dis galaxy s2 2days ago and it turns out that the overheating issue persist only when u use it for gaming and watching hd movies more than half an hr.specially gaming maks d device very hot whch s really disappointing odrwse all oder features r excellent so far. i m only worried abt ds particular issue. b4 purchsng ds set i hd done enuf research nd encounterd with d heat issue as per d oders opinion which also says overheating occurs after 1 hr bt thats wrong bcz after gaming 4 a whle its terribly hot which is unusual.please help me if der is any solution to get rid f dis overheating issue.

Just got the S II and it's a great phone but the only downside is that it has a very plastic feel, and the screen loves having finger prints on it. It goes extremely well and fast. Love it

Anonymous, 22 Jun 2011wait for the yellow tinge to appear in 26 days... and the short battery life and the overheating and ... and the fact that no one carry a samsung phone for over 6 months coz of it quality... my bro is a sasmung fan and for the last 2 years he changed 3 phones (wave, SGS & now SGS2) as for me Xperia X1 for the past 3 years and now arc...and i'll buy a new one after the SGS6...

To whom is interested...I can confirm the heating up "problem".Although in the user's manual states that the phone might get warm on intensive use which is normal. I've noticed that this happens when I play games, surf the net VIA WIFI and when I watch a HD movie(after a few minutes of watching it gradually cools down) It heats up the most in games...It got really warm when my girlfriend played for 3 hours Angry Birds lol.
Anyway, no yellow spots whatsoever.
I definitely recommend this phone!

shit i bought diz phone its really sucks the battery not even for 4hours....some tyms getting hanged....and its getting heat as well.....i think xperia arc is better den diz .....

Thanks ppl for your feedbacks and appreciation. I have bought it from Pune itself for Rs.29,800/- from JM road.
Its available in India and in almost all the cities.
about overheating problem.... Vigorous use of internet access (3G/ GPRS) may show problem, but average usage is not showing any heating problem.
so dont worry !!
