maaz, 10 Jun 2012can u plz tell me how to upgrade it to ice cream sandwich???? you should download latest kies from samsung web page. samsung/support&downloads. then after having the latest kies, go to youtube, search the video to upgrade galaxy s2 to ice cream sandwich. it will be very easy.

If you expect more than average use of your s2g...pls mode your s2g( root/kernel/moded fw...etc )

about ICS firmware for I9100G:
i was research many forums & do experiment since last week ive found the only STABLE firmware is from INDIA region.samsung india do a hard work to build their firmware & also fixed many bugs.other samsung country just copy & edit few things & cannot fix bugs,thats why it have problem such as still hang,gps lock issue & battery drain fast.
option u can download ICS firmware from India.visit sammobile.com/firmware & install it via Odin software.after 3 days ive tested,phone running very smooth.try it to believe it.gudluck!

patrick osunde, 10 Jun 2012Why is the screen always hot and the battery does not last ... moreu can adjust brightness about 50% via manually in setting & DONT set to AUTO.u also need download BATTERY REPAIR on blackmart.make sure battery power left is 1%.run app & connect to charger.dont do anything on ur phone due to app will repair ur cell battery,it take around 3 hours to complete repair.try it to believe it.

Except 687MB RAM issue, ICS update is worth to do it.. it has resolved camera, music on handfree hanging problems...

Why is the screen always hot and the battery does not last long. I must confess this is the best phone I've used so far...Please reply to advise me on how to reduse the screen hotness and also to have a longer battery performance,thanks. osundepatrick@gmail.com

Hey Guys Samsung is cheated us the g version s2 is a very bad phone.daily 2 or more time hang and restart automaticilly..so pls dont buy this phone its my requist...

Guys please read reviews before upgrading to ICS. I just checked it on my friend's phone. I found it to be really very slow which I would not have liked for a smartphone. I will wait for another update from Samsung. If you need the facelock feature in Gingerbread, try Facelock for apps pro in Google Play. It is a paid app but works really well. There is a trial version also.

I choose Gingerbread version cause it is more durable than Ice cream sandwich that only care about unique display.... Anyone agree this??

Im become hate to this phone after upgrading to ICS, cause it lag while playing game or serve internet. But 1 thing only that I like is Animation while rotating the screen :|
