I too got the update. while downloading, the download was interupted and then the phone says that there is no update available. Anyone facing the same problem?

Just got official software update of 220MB. I think it will be ICS update looking the size.

Interesting to find different views in this thread! Well, I'm only facing the Accelerometer issue. It takes quite a few seconds to turn the sides but nothing else. I'm looking forward to updating my device to ICS 4.0.3 and if there are any other things essential to know then please spare sometime to share with us all. Thanks.

there is no any official ics firmwares for i9100g until now
samsung made a new 2.3.6 firmware for china this morning
but all problems of hanging solved by new 2.3.6 firmwares which i post their links

- key in the dialer *#7284#
- it has 4 option there..
- UART (MODEM/PDA)
- USB (MODEM/PDA)
For USB. select the PDA. If it already selected to PDA. reselect it by select MODEM and then PDA again.. Only change the USB setting and then press back. try reconnect (thanks to napi1 @ androidforums.com/samsung-galaxy-s2-international/447145-sgs2-kies-not-syncing-os-2-3-5-a.html#post3484588)
- The Laptop will start recognizing the required drivers and install them also
- Phone is not recognized by laptop when it is in USB debug mode, MyPhoneExplorer does not recognize when it is not in Debug mode

KEKO, 28 May 2012Plz Help, i am going to buy S2i900 G today..
i red all pos... morefirstly you have to be carefull while choosing.In my opinion i see that i9100G is better because you will not suffer from the heat problems that i9100 face.Some people say that i9100G chipsets are better than those of i9100.Actually iam using i9100G and it rarely hangs with me only when the battery is low.
Also samsung has told me that ics update will be available for i9100G very soon.You have to read all the comparisons and choose

try check different between Galaxy Nexus & I9100G model.not too much different.it also use TI-OMAP & now upgradable to ICS.

Plz Help, i am going to buy S2i900 G today..
i red all posts and i am not sure about the facts.. so i need u to kindly answer the below accurately:
1st
is ICS is officially available for S2 G for Egypt, Please mention the website,if not yet so when?
2nd
as somebodies claimed ,will ICS official update will cover all Software hanging and CPU limitation at S2G WITHOUT the need to root the device or download any unofficial Firmwares.
3rd
in my country website, S2 G is only available otherwise the home site of SAMSUNG so is it a sign that S2 G is distributed BY SAMSUNG with a low specs in certain countries.
4th
provide any proofs based on facts and real trails who is the best S2 i9100 or i9100 G ,AND WHY?
PROVIDE A CONCOCTION to buy s2 G or not provided that i am not an expert in rooting or downloading firmwares and i don't like to put any software not released officially.
