my samsung galaxy s2 Gt I9100G has version 2.3.6 ..build numbr gingerbread.JPKK1.. i updated this software through settings> about phone> software update.. it got updated and firmware installation always give error in the middle of installation.. When i connect my phone through usb.. it gets on charging but dont show up in laptop or computer.. please tell me how to get rid of this problem.

I got a call from samsung my replacement arrived. Recieved My i9100 With ICS preinstalled On Saturday...
It took a Patient less 1 Month...
Must say this Model Is By far the Best.. no Hang No camera issues no Music issues...Working Flawlessly With ICS..

Guys there is no problem with hardware.
Those who feels freezing problem,can go for custom kernel
And ROM.
Then see power of TI OMAP 4430 And its GPU.
Or can wait fot ICS.

AnonD-54913, 27 May 2012third class mobile in the world don,t buy it........g model... moreI am sorry to hear that. Pls take note that Hang/ freeze is Software problem. SW act different for different Model and make. Good example is Nokia N95. Best is to flash again BUT send to Samsung to flash, avoid Kies,OTA or Odin....unless your HP is "ROOT" set.

SII G here preinstalled (updated) 2.3.6. ICS is coming soon. Pls be patience coz ICS is new and may not work well initially...just wait .
SII G ..freeze is a software problem nothing to do with HW. I do not have serious freeze problem with my SG II G. Yes Music player freezes the screen . Pls search Google play for suitable player. I use Real Player.

Will we get an ICS update for this phone soon? And note that I've already updated the phone with OTA into Gingerbread 2.3.6. But GSMArena is still showing that update is up to 2.3.4 (!)

RKK, 25 May 2012The specifications of Samsung I9100G Galaxy S 2 says 1 GB R... moreif u have a total of 16gb ur phone is just a useless piece of crap.. the gingerbread software must hv somewhere to be placed and its should be in ur phone memory. the sd card need to sacrifice some space for its identity, cache and memory boot record without that it just would be better if u slot in a piece of card board in the memory alot

The specifications of Samsung I9100G Galaxy S 2 says 1 GB RAM and 16 GB storage but when I check my Galaxy S2 memory in Storage it shows USB storage - Total space 11 GB and device memory available space 1.78 GB? so the total memory of this phone is 11 GB or 13 GB? and it is NOT 16 GB? WHY??

Hi mine G version also. Gud battery life, no heating up, problems..camera freeze (hard reset) no more freeze. Music Player will freeze randomly using head phones....do not try other players from google play..all will freeze also. install Media Player version 1.1 from samsungapps. NO freeze. basic player but you can install equalizer to improve sound. Other than that..waiting for ICS....
