Samsung I9100G Galaxy S II

samsung i9100 gives download speed of 21mbps but i9100G gives only 7.2mbps, is it true.
I checked with samsung technical team they said both gives same speed 21mbps.
Can anyone confirm on this.

But the company has all the right to change specifications of the phone as it desires, but in this case users should not feel cheated bcoz performance wise the G version is not inferior to the non-G version. Many users feel the hanging, battery draining and other issues are related to the G version which is incorrect and that is why I thought I need to clarify. Any user has got the right to obtain replacement in case of defects as the company gives 01 year warranty for the same.

Where many have been sold with a unit which is different what is labeled on the box. they paid for i1900, which shows on the box label i1900, but were surprised when they got home that the unit is actually i1900G. I myself have i1900G and have no complains about the performance. I also knew when I bought it that I am buying a i1900G because the box labels shows i1900G. It's the cheating of the vendors or salesman or Samsung that is being complained here.

Guys, I don't understand why everyone is complaining about the Samsung SII I9100G version ? I am from India & purchased this phone in Nov 11, have been using it without any problems, except for few minor glitches. My phone doesn't heat up unlike my friend's who is using SGS II I9100 which had packed up too soon & he got it replaced. My web browsing is faster than even my laptop. Youtube videos run smoothly without buffering. I use Tunein Internet Radio app which runs without any buffering problem. Battery lasts me 2 days with normal usage. I run Riptide, NFS Shift etc with ease without any issues. I think android apps are the main culprit wherein developers find it difficult to develop apps which can run on varied processors / GPUs therefore some apps hang on certain phones irrespective of the hardware. SGS II I9100 is not without any problems, if one is not convinced, kindly read the user opinions in the I9100 section. Overheating, hanging, pinkspot problem, etc are common to all SGS II phones. In fact the OMAP chipset & PowerVR GPU is being used in other phones as well & I am sure developers would find more takers for the same. Look at the Galaxy Note with Exynos chipset, it too is facing the same problems as that of I9100 in its initial stages. Samsung obviously realised that putting a faster processor in such a cramped body of SGS II was like putting a rocket engine on a bullock cart, that's why slower processor/ underclocked processor was placed on the I9100G version to reduce overheating & increase battery life. Its upto the user what type of apps are installed in the phone & one should apply his mind not to overload the memory with unwanted apps which would definitely effect the performance of the phone. SGS II I9100G is as great as the original I9100 phone, so those who bought the G version can have peace of mind ....

Dear Concerned,
I purchased a Samsung galaxy SII on 4th December 2011 from Kolkata Mobile store. On the package the model no. is mentioned as i9100. But the set model no. is i9100G. I have checked in internet that it is a model with different chipset i.e. OMAP. Also the GPU is PowerVR and not Mali 400 as it is available with i9100.
I feel cheated and want my set i.e. i9100G replaced with the original i9100.
I need proper solution from your end ASAP. The complain no. as registered with customer service is ....

hi there guys howsit just wanted to find out, not too long ago there was a comment posted on the battery of the s2, in this comment there was some sort of software or application to save battery does anyone knowof this pls let me know asap

Guy !! dun buy this phone, this phone is down grade version from Original S2, it used Ti Chipset while Ori S2 were used Arm processor.
This is totally difference class of design compared to Original version.

can someone help me to solve my s2 problem.my phone battery finish very fast so i thought is my battery problem and i bought a new one the problem happen it again...when i off my phone to charge it come out a symbol like thermometer...who know this?

Hi guys..., i just bought my samsung galaxy but my one is samsung galaxy s2 I9100T, thats any different with I9100G, because my phone also have problem with web browsing . it doesnt running fast in surfing internet and the battery also weak, there's any one have the same problem with me..thanks..

Hi there, i had a 16gb mirco sdhc card for this phone, and decided to purchase a 32gb version. i have tried copying and pasting all the data from the old memory card on to the larger 1 (16gb thru the phone's usb in to my laptop, and the 32gb thru an adapter in to a card slot on my laptop) and ive managed to get it all on to the new card but when i put the 32gb card in to the phone it doesnt have all the new data on it. what am i doing wrong? please advise. is a 32gb card even compatible with this handset?
