I read some comments and they are totaly not true. Ics is available on the net. And u dnt ve to root or unlock or do anything. Just download it to ur pc/ trabsfer to ur card and then flash it with odin. Odin can also be downloaded on the same site where u find the ics.

Facing issue while upgarding to ICS.. phone hangs and the upgrade i not proceeding.. have to reboot the phone and clear the upgrade using manage applications..
any one facing the same issue>

After ICS update Battery drains very fast.
I can say Battery life is 30% to 40% less than GB

Finally Samsung did some good work for galaxy r users. Congrats to all users. Working fine till now.
Now no regret of buying this rare amazing phone.

its will automatic update ICS 4.0.4 through on wi-fi but your SGR setting automatic update must through only wi-fi...NEw Delhi

Dear Friend,
Samsung Galaxy R now have the option to updated it into ICS with out root. Just go on software update then you will find the updation of this ICS. I have just received alert today's morning.
