I hate this phone. This often hangs during any operation. Plz don't buy this phone. Am waiting for ics update.

AnonD-59471, 04 Jul 2012thank you very much hoping to buy galaxy R soon and thanks ... morei tried it for 6 months . its great, fast and rarely hangs. stays for 36 hours on battery. but the problem is that there is no support for it on the internet or in te local market, (i'm in ksa btw) so there is shortage on the accessries and custom roms. i.e the galaxy s2 had the ics since january maybe , while i still till now dont have ice cream sandwitch , and keep in mind that the prices are lower now. so i would vote for the S2. otherwise it's a good machine.

And i guess you can very well buy S2 now, its price is not so high. I own this phone. No complaints.

Finally we are receiving positive news on the release of ICS on Galaxy R i9103 from different divisions of Samsung from different parts the world.
I have started this new thread as the purpose of the last thread was to get some concrete info from Samsung whether Galaxy R will get an ICS update or not, which stands resolved.
But now its a question of when & not if so we'll keep a close watch on the developments here.

The tentative dates given by various regional departments of Samsung:
- Germany: Scheduled for July, should be available by August.
- Sweden: Between July 23, 2012 - August 5, 2012
- India: Galaxy R will also be getting ICS upgrade very soon. Stay tuned!(No dates or even month. )
