I don't understand. How is that people are facing so many problems with this device. Actually this device works great for me. Moreover Samsung announced that phones with dual core processors and ram>512 MB are getting ics including this device.

My phone is in Samsung Service centre. They said they will replace the LCD.
Within one month LCD is gone. I dont expect from advanced device.
I think i made a wrong deciion to buy this one.

Hey Guys, everyone keeps saying that this phone doesn't support USB OTG and HDMI-out but to my pleasant surprise, I tried my friends cables for galaxy S2 and both things work flawlessly without any issue what so ever.
USB OTG is really cool. It picks up all the media content from your USB pen drive and merge the same with your gallery. It shows the USB pendrive as USBStorage in 'My Files'. Great!!!
My friend was as susprised as I was. He was trying to show me what all galaxy S2 has but when these things worked with Galaxy R then he suddenly realized that Galaxy R is indeed very good buy. There is no special need to go for Galaxy S2 except camera.
I am loving my phone even more!!!!!

hi all, i was in bit confusion about buying lgO2x and galaxy R,i read many review before buying.And finally bought galaxy R, its a cool mobile till now i have faced no problem with it..battery is excellent is 1650 mah,it last for almost one day with full use..i think optimus may be defeated in battery and screen size as well as in ram.Which makes this phone to perform multitasking better and have good UI.my suggestion to all that samsung has all supports, since it is released few months ago it lag in custom roms...It may be getting its ICS update soon.Think of only one fact that without battery life any feature is there is mere a waste. What can be done with that type of phone.Although O2x has gud camera i accept, better always go with latest models with new bluetooth 3.0 and more ram and rom...i am writing this review after using the phone for a month..anyone buy this phone for sure may not come to a conclusion , y they bought it..Thnx all for ur suggestion.

Almost a month over bought this phone, this is really value for money in Androids with big screen like Samsung galaxy S2.
S2 sales has been reduce thats the reason this phone is discontinued

Plesase note that there are no hardware issues with the galaxy r.though it may not be available in India....it's sales are on fire in other places.....it's a perfect android phone .. No worries !!

last week i bought galaxy r its awesome mobile,looks cool and smooth ,i love this mobile,compare to nokia smart phones samsung is the top best,it also beats iphone

Hi Guys,
The Samsung Galaxy R is out of stock in most of the places in India as its a good phone at the price range of 22K.
Its true that Samsung may stop manufacturing the Galaxy R as the sales for S II is droping drastically because of the popularity of Galaxy R.
Its a amazing phone using it for almost 2 weeks now.

No other mobile in this range (20K) offers 1GB RAM which is very important for future Android updates.
Even some individual phones of S2 had some problems. So individual complaints cant be taken for a generalisation. Neo V and SGR are no where in comparision. there are different family of phones.
If you can get this mobile for 20k - 21k its def a value for money. Of course Samsung has come up with Galaxy S advance - better specifications. Price not out yet. Mostly they may introduce it around 25k.

Retailers across India are commenting that Samsung is discontinuing the Galaxy R.
Have others also faced similar rejections.
What could this mean, is the SGS2's price dropping or Galaxy Advance is coming to India or both.
