There seems to be conflicting communication from different vendors about this phone. 'The Mobile Store' guy in Pune told me this weekend that Galxy R is discontinued because of hardware issues, they did not have any unit available. Another store in the same area had the phone available and did not have any info about phone being discontinued.

Those guys have missleaded u it seems. As they told you, its not discontinued yet as this is yet latest than SGS2. its having 24.1 mbp speed as its support hspa+ . geek phone owner is foolish as I have tested already

Hi all. I got this phone yesterday (Pune, India).
Good overall. Also battery back-up is decent for a screen size of 4.19 " which drains most of battery.
Also no black out nor hanging issue.
Got it for 21.3 K. Though I think a better deal could be squeezed.

Using galaxy R for a week and it is just rocking..
It has a better screen clarity than xperia arc. It has more natural colours than galaxy s2. It is really worth for that price. Go for it..
