don worry everyone samsung will launch S4 mini in INDIA. Afterall India has become 3rd largest Market for cell phone in the world :)

I deliberately kept "galaxy S2 plus" out of the equation since both buyers and sellers now are not interested in it anymore because of the reasons you mentioned. Samsung has also decided not to update "galaxy S2" beyond jelly bean. Not sure if "S2 plus" will see key lime pie.
I also doubt if Samsung will release "galaxy S4 mini" to the Indian market since they skipped with "S3 mini". However, seeing the popularity of dual sim phones in India growing day by day, Samsung might come up with dual sim version of galaxy S4 mini for Indian market.

Samsung uk didn't have full spec info. They couldn't confirm whether gorilla glass or not. Even phones that definitely have gorilla glass on Samsung uk website (eg s4) aren't marked clearly whether they do or not. Suspect will find out next week when officially launched. Wikipedia thinks s4 mini does.....

S2 Plus,which is available around 22.5-23000.So after introducing S4 mini,probably, S2 plus may be withdrawn or its price may be reduced like Grand/ NoteII,Because as it is s2 plus has not become much popular due to its (unnecessary) high price with lesser features than original s2

S3 has been Slashed to 24k..
Infrared is missing in S3 .. But S4 mini is way behind on all other Specs..
Hope to see S4 mini for less than 20K..
Or it won't be playing the Numbers like the S3 Mini...!

Pricing of this phone is going to be the key element. Samsung has flooded the Indian market with lot of handsets with just rupees thousand or two difference in each sets with couple of differences in specifications here and there. And this is the time to draw a line so that people start taking that so called mid-range or upper mid-range segment seriously.
Now positioning of this set is going to be crucial. It can't stand shoulder to shoulder with galaxy S3 and thus price need to be bit lower. If S3 is being sold today in Indian market at 26 K, then mini S4 should not be priced more than 22 K where it can give direct competition to Sony Xperia SP which is currently priced at 24 K. If you keep those mega 5.8 and 6.1 inch 'ers phones out of equation, Samsung has left a huge gap between 5 inch 'er grand duos and galaxy s3 and this mini S4 with intelligent pricing can fill that gap quite successfully without affecting the sale of grand duos or S3.
This is certainly a phone which I am waiting for. Hope to see it soon.
