I have a blackberry torch slider phone! Was given it as a gift! I love the fact that it has it's own keyboard, frankly because my touch screen doesn't work at all and my phone would be completely useless without it and it's stupid to be forced to buy a new phone if the touch screen bombs out on you!! And I love this samsung s glide!!!!! Ordered one in, but Rogers seems to have deleted phone from system, so I can't get the only slider keyboard phone running!! And I love the size and screen and keyboard on this! I would get every S glide phone out there so I will always have a replacement if it broke! More companies have to realize that there are lots of us customers that still want phones that have a manual keyboard and slide! Start making products for us too!!! Not everyone wants a stupid touch screen, or likes the screen keyboards! I find we spend more time correcting the works, then typing them ourselves! To samsung, I say, if you had put more advertising into the S glide! They would of sold better!!!!! I only found out about them when I despiritly started searching for a slide keyboard and there aren't many out there anymore!!! What the hell!! And no wonder companies are losing customers! Because you aren't asking all of us what we want, for you to make!!!!! So start putting the samsung galaxy S Glide back into the Market!!!!!! Sincerely, hoping I'm being heard and more people will help me get these products back out on the market for all to enjoy!!!! Thankyou very much for your time!!!!!!

Hi, i tried upgrading my andriod and since the my play store is not working. Keeps saying force close. Sent,it several repairs no success. I even tried Samsung,kies still no success. Any help?

Nice phone simply a powerful 4G cell in a very reasonable price outstanding features and capabilities, no hangups, no crashes, no lags, fast processing, great result with front camera, supports big games, I have a great experience with this device

I forgot to mention instead of running around and flashing and stuff with a perfectly good new phone for ics, u can update it through samsungs desktop software keis. i went from gb to ics 4.0.4 in less than an hour and have no problems so far at all. it doesn't lag at all either. its a great midrange phone and does everything I throw at it flawlessly when I say everything I mean everything. I even stopped carrying around a laptop because I can do almost everything I need on this phone so far work wise. The only bad thing is the phone gets hot during hard use and charging sometimes. And when its hot it will not open the camera till its cooled down to operating temps(ics it tells u the warning) battery serves me a who day with average to hard use and I come home with around 25% bat life way better than my bbz which I had to charge by mid day with a brand new genuine bat with blackberry data plan. Ohh yeah and the hspa+ is fast enough here in Jamaica get up to 4mbps upload on lime network can get faster but don't really check much and I use wifi at home and work so I don't really care and 4mbps is fast enough when I don't have wifi. The GPS is kinda off once in a blue moon but it doesn't bother me, how can I get lost in Jamaica lol.well what I can tell anyone if u need a phone what's reasonable in price and has good performance this is the phone for u.

Well baught this phone new off amazon. having owning the phone for around 3 weeks with gb 2.3.6 i updated the os to ics 4.0.4 by samsung kies and its working fine. its a very fun phone waayyy faster than my BlackBerry 9650 and better by a 1000 in everything. the cam is great, the graphics is excellent, the keyboad is a bit flat and not ergonomic like the blackberry 9650 but its ok to use not bad like how i hear some people say it is. But so far it is a very fun phone will write more reviews if anything pops up.

I have a captivate glide and it has 802.11 abgn, not just bgn, it can see and connect to my 5GHz network at home.

Went through a hell of a lot of effort upgrading the operating system
I wanted to upgrade to Jellybean, but it was too risky, so I recommend not trying, simply because there is not Stable release I know of. So I tried to update to Ice Cream Sandwich (4.04)from Gingerbread (2.3.6) following steps from websites such as (xda developers kies, and various others)and had the entire system wiped for about 5 hours, I was getting very stressed, and it was not easy, but once finally updated with Odin3 and the right format rom (.md5, .smd, .tar, .gz or .tmz) this phone is amazing.
Updating to ICS can be done, but it's hard work, and the only way to have it done is with patience and perseverance. I do not recommend using Kies.

One of the best model i ever had. writting review after almost 1.5 years using Roger model
pros:
-keypad makes ur life easy
-great processor and gpu (no issue of hanging or playing games)
-amazing touch
-best deal less price more features
cons:
-as usual battery won't last long
- many people have gps issue, mine also won't work
- no radio (for me it's nt problem bt still listing)
- old model with 2.3 v (4.0 upgrade available)

For all those ppl who wants to upgrade to ics they first have to download 4.0firmware fron internet then install odin ver 1.85..connect ur mob in usb mode not in kies mode and then select pda option and select the firmware file u have downloaded...after finishing phone reboots and installs necessary filea and youre done with updating process

I don't have Xperia Pro, so can't compare. This phone have 2x1GHz and better graphic, so should be much faster. Keys are very flat (probably less comfortable than those of the Xperia pro), but I can get used to it without any problems. Display is better than that in

Could you, please, share with me a way to upgrade manually (I believe it does not matter if it's with the AT&T ROM, as I'm using it free in Spain with the Orange Network).
