You can use Odin, a software to restore your phone Android OS to earlier version.

After the last android update, the e-mail doesn't synchronize anymore. Uninstall- re-install etc etc did not work. Unacceptable to release updates with such bugs. Even impossible to switch back to original factory mode.
Anybody solved the problem ?

As I ... moreand I guess we are still lucky because Sony phones has a lot of issues too because their phones have all flaps (headset, usb, card slot) that can tear anytime by always opening it unlike samsung that the usb port has the only ones that has cover (and removable battery too)

As I ... moreI guess water comes inside the phone is normal, that's why there is a rubber seal on the back of the phone to protect the internal part, well I guess im just too lucky that I never had any problem on my phone and cautious before dipping it into water.

As I mention earlier, sometime it is difficult for average user to make sure all port, cover are properly closed, sealed.
There are various reports reporting, even all port are properly sealed, water still go into the phone. This also count into user fault. (Not just happen to Samsung phone, anyway)
To be honest, my USB port flap is getting worse, seems cannot close properly on the port.
Well... wear and tear....
But, all in all, it is still a nice phone.

S4 Active User, 08 Nov 2014It is not safe against water. Try not using it at the pool... moredid close the usb port? how about the back cover? Did you seal it tightly? Mine never experienced any problems even in the pool or in the shower, it is the users fault.

Much more prefer this than the regular S4.
I prefer the LCD screen than the AMOLED screen on regular S4.
AMOLED screen suffer the bluish and greenish issue on overall color gamut.

Just restart your phone and pray for luck. It may works after you restart.
Or.... try update to the latest Whatapps version.

Try not using it at the pool.
A lot of water damage has been reported.
This doesn't means it is inferior to other water proof phone.
All of the Sony's so called high end waterproof phone also suffer on water damage.
The waterproof thing on the smartphone is just not a fully proven concept.
My unit survive until today, just because I never risk it by using under water.

I have this phone for around 10 days now and so far it is a nice phone but lately i noticed that when the battery is down to around 10% the light of the screen seems unstable and it is fluctuating is this normal? or should i send it back?please need some advice ,thanks
