Anonymous, 23 Dec 2014Not all people is having phone with problem. Only minority.... moreyes I know, most of their problems are just too easy and too common but they still bother to ask here, instead of asking everywhere they should do some research and google on it. For those who always complain, it is not all the time the phone's fault but mostly the users fault and lack of knowledge on how to fix it and what to do on it, better go to repair shop

Well... I can said, because of the minority, this phone is getting more complain, cos of only few people own this phone. Unlike the flagship Galaxy S4.
From all the comment, those complain seems are just common issue with smartphone.
Just get the phone repaired at service center will do. Factory reset, uninstall apps, normally don't work as the problem will keep coming back, problem only go away for a short period.
I own a Galaxy S4 Active as well. It works until today after one and a half year. It is among the best phone I ever own. It is also one of the most underrated Samsung phone, and one of the most underrated phone around. I occupying the whole phone memory by installing apps, and it show no sign of slowing down. Indeed, it is as fast or faster than a newer phone, which is equipped with more powerful processor.
For battery life issue, installing battery saver apps will prolong the battery. It is the Android OS, and some apps that trying to run at the background that drain the battery.

My phone would start acting up at random, and the reasons are as follows: My phone always pops up with Random apps that I have not activated yet, when I go on either Facebook or Text Messaging, I sometimes can't type properly the way I want to, and my phone freezes alot, so I would have no choice but to take out the battery and turn it back on again. I had this phone for almost a year now, and I've never experienced something like this in my life. Is there anyway that I can get it fixed for a cheaper price?

AnonD-343312, 20 Dec 2014Not happy took my phone into supplier where i bought my pho... morereasons why your phone is overheating:
- mobile data is ON
- you play heavy games for so long
- you have lots of running apps in the background
- and so much more
Your problem is also a problem on any other android phone whether you're using Samsung, Sony, LG etc. and about the cracked screen on your phone, you cannot blame Samsung because sometimes cracked screen was the fault of the user and about your 2 year warranty, you must know what are the things that your 2 year warranty covers (sorry but cracked screen is not covered on the warranty). All of you must learn a lot in using an android phone. Yes I also experience overheating in my S4 Active but I never complained because I know how to deal with it and I do some research on it. No harsh feelings.

Not happy took my phone into supplier where i bought my phone, and my samsung s4 active was overheating which has caused a crack to appear on my screen and ghost images appear. phone is under 2 year warranty and all i got was its users fault my phone is used at home only nowhere else as i have another that i use on my travels. Hubby wasn't happy with the response the shop assistant gave us.So why do we pay alot of money for phones which are of no use to us when they are not of our own fault and why don`t we get a reasonable answer to our questions.

Took phone back into my supplier and explained the situation they just more or less said it was my fault and were looking for ways around to not having it dealt with. My phone is under 2 year warranty only bought my ph this year and i too am having problems. we pay for a phone thats supposedly meant to be better and all we get is a toy model of malfunctions $800 dollars down the drain and the warrant wont even cover it samsung you may lose alot of customers.

Overall was a great phone first 5-6months, but then things start going down rapidly... huge overheat problems, sometimes even hard to hold in the hand as it becomes soooo hot!! Which leaded to burn-in on the screen (ghost images staying on background of screen, impossible to remove.. only solution is to change screen).
Main problems came from battery.. in 6 months I changes 3 times battery already, and every time they only last 6hours maximum with little usage. And the intelligent battery is anything but intelligent... many times I charged to 100% then after using a few minutes an app, the battery shoots down immediately to 0% and phone goes off. It's the same batteries used for standard S4's. So it's really angering to have to always have a charger on you to recharge it 4-5 times a day!
