I haven't bought a phone yet and it was gonna be either Xperia Z or S4 or (now) S4 Active. All 3 phones have fantastic specs but (call me an arse) for me, looks matter just as much as specs. So, I think I'll be going for Xperia Z. :)

everybody is saying Samsung stole the waterproof idea from Sony, Samsung released a waterproof phone in 2011, the Galaxy Xcover, and the xcover 2 in 2012 which was also waterproof. doesn't that mean Sony stole the idea from them?????????

heheheh SG S4 Active thought would be better than the S4 is on sale, but we get wrong, 11gb rom contains S4 Active, 8 mega pixel camera, that is weaker than S4

They may have used LCD so that it does not affect S4 Super AMOLED supplies. Or maybe they removed all these to keep the phone price lower or to protect the sales of original S4s. They may have other reasons but most importantly is your preferences. There are many devices available in the market now for you to choose. Pick one you that you think worth your money.

I could easily say that you copied too. Samsung may lost the initial battle of lawsuit but that has not ended till today and Samsung haven't paid Apple yet. Google up and read about it. You can stick with your Xperia Z if you want too and no one is stopping you.

Please Samsung jus stop making customers fool.for wat reasons u have named this handset as s4.neither it has super amoled screen nor 13 mp camera.galaxy s4 n earlier s3 are praised for low weight,this handset fail in this regard too heavier than htc one.
merely making screen of 5inch n 2gb ram is not in anyway sufficient

Samsung to work more on battery back-up, cause S4 active based on outdoor user.
Battery seems to last for 5 hours on 3G and over heating in most smartphones.

by saying short n sweet these guys r thumbs up but for me the s4 galxy is a stylus fone nice fone but for future as an advise dont go out of the paterns of s series starting from the housing of the fone coz i see i9295 has a button of home n back n stting options as in terms of attraction mhh i didnt agree with it but if u wana bring some thing changes in it the add some cool feature which are entertaining and also are creative

AnonD-146109, 03 Jun 2013So, basically what you are saying is that Samsung can't exi... moresamsung is praised for its hadwares, features n softwares... u saying samsung never came up with their own ideas... new cool software features added in S3 n S4 are not theirs?? most call it gimmics but these are really good ideas... hovering features were first came to galaxy note while xperia sola with floating touch came much after samsung n samsung's air gestures are way cool than sony's... concept of phablet was not introduced by samsung but a revolution came after galaxy note series n is now followed by every other companies... do u realise that is one of the biggest achievements for samsung just like revolution started by apple by bringing iphones, the real masterpiece smartphones... it not just only brought back the stylus in a phone but also added cool new stuffs on it to use it in many cool ways... innovation are brought by many companies but samsung's contribution is biggest amomgs all... u cannot deny this... ofcourse u can hate samsung but the truth is truth...

But it would be better if they didn't downgrade the camera and the screen.
And would be even much better if they could add OIS to the camera future to make it the uncompeteable IP67 smartphone.
I am not talking about a dream phone, as you all know these features are available in other devices.
( it will need to have 10x or more optical zoom to meet the min of my dream phone)
