It looks like the S3 is already on sale in Dubai since yesterday some other sites have confirmed, but as far as i know Samsung hasn't made any statement on it.

Nokia managed to fit a 41 megapixel sensor into their PureView phone, but they had to sacrifice the thinness. The Galaxy S3 is extremely thin. Furthermore, increasing the resolution to 12MP will make the picture worse if the sensor size does not scale accordingly due to interference. It's thus unfair to compare like that. The problem now with the technology market is that consumers are too obsessed with numbers and pure specs instead of actual user experience.

If you do printing and advertising and need posters fair enough, you would be better off with 808 or real camera..The only smartfones to compete with digicam is Nokia N8 and 808 both with xenon flash for crisp non blurry shots..
8Mp is plenty enough for most and most paparazzi use 6MP here in UK (or used to) for quick shots and quick upload on the UK,s pathetic broadband speeds..

[deleted post]My friend, Nokia has no standard now...they are just trying to survive in the market. Sony is not even in the race right now. Apple has innovation but Samsung beats it(SGS 2 is better that iphone 4s even though 4s came after S2, check youtube for video comparisions if you dont agree). HTC is really giving a fight to Samsung with some excellent phones lately but it will really take them a long time to catch up coz samsung caters to all income groups. I like iphone too but the crazy limitations they put on their phones is the reason I'm not their customer yet. I have no preference for brand, it's just the value for money that matter.

Samsung is the best phone manufacturer no... moreeconomical price? lol.. this one is much higher price than iPhone believe it or not.. 16gig iPhone 199$ 2year contract vs 249$16gig SGS3..yup you will get of course better specs bcuz dis one is a new phone. one thing i dnt like in android OS u cant run apps in dif phone w/ same version of OS unlike in iOS (believe or not i got SGS2 until now no ICS update.!) .. as for the phone dis one is the best phone as for now. but for the OS i still preferred iOS.

Hi GUYS, i like this s-III comparing to Iphone... I Buy it, & i have it... i'm Iphone fans, but i shift to SAMSUNG, guess/ for sure this will be the best againts the best to other compitators like Iphone & Nokia... awsome record, amazing fast, great USER INTERFACE, battery too... The best phone/mobile specially android v4.0 ice cream sandwich today IN PHILS, MANILA, LOVE IT!

The worst thing in this phone in my opinion ia having only a 8MP camera thats irritating me. It should have atleast 12MP camera. Their compititor Nokia puts 41MP camera and a 12MP camera years ago. Samsung still fails to put a 12MP camera. Shame on samsung.

Samsung is great! Samsung is the best phone manufacturer nowadays because of the innovative designs, endless development and economical price! Those people who says that it's not, these guys are not technically knowledgeable.. hehehe.. loser!
