Phone looks ok. SII with square edges looks better IMO. I'd def pick one up except Samsung continues to take it from behind from AT&T. I mean, come on. Is it really that hard to include support for the AWS 3G band? I'm still waiting for the T-Mobile Note that was 'leaked' a few weeks back. Sigh, the difficulties of being a T-Mobile USA customer.

this fone doesnt have the 'wow' factor because when u look at it u feel that it looks rubbish and its just plastic, but trust me its a lot more than it looks. No doubt htc one x is a tough competition because people will generally prefer one x over sIII as it looks amazing!! Even the xperia s is good in terms of camera and display but i would prefer sIII more than the others as it has great new features and the specs are awsome !! :-D and the looks are not toooo bad as people are describing it!!

I compared size of xperia s to htc one x and hardly any size difference yet one x screen is nearly half an inch bigger! Explain how that makes xperia s better? S3 uses the space even better so that makes size better, number of cores better, have to wait and see with camera! Who cares if s3 pentile as long as screen is gorgeous? Im no sammy fan as I have a se live walkman(wt19i) but im just stating the facts!

Honestly speaking, I'm an iPhone guy, and I had the s2 and didn't like it because the battery so I went back to iPhone. But now.... I will buy the s3 and leave apple for these reasons: led notification light, the greatest creation on a mobile phone, existed 10 years ago and then faded away, why? How come? Samsung figured it out and listened to customers.
#2 : technology and innovation, you can clearly see that Samsung is going all the way in the mobile industry, so I as a consumer want to be part of the innovation.
The only bad part in my opinion is the big screen, 4.8" targets more the tech people and not the average consumer, it's a big phone.

Galaxy S3 is a good phone,but style is poor.Should have 2gb ram coz lg lte 2 has it.Camera should be atleast 12mp.Size should be 4.65 inches.Should also be available in black colour.
htc oneX will give a tough fight to s3.So best of luck samsung.

It is one of the finest plastic material called hyperglaze. It feels lightest in your hand.People criticism here about design. But when it will come in market these people definitely buy this unit very cool design. What i feel bad about SG3 Camera only 8MP. Samsung Galaxy S no camera flash but such a powerful phone 2010
Samsung Galaxy S2 no 540x960 display pixels but such a powerful phone 2011
Samsung Galaxy S3 no 12MP but such a powerful phone 2012 I already have SG S & SG S2. And i will definitely buy this unit and offcourse hyperglaze and 8MP price will be cheaper than HTC One X.

HTC and Nokia (One X and Lumia 900/800) both are plastic and look/feel much better than what Samsung uses. Nobody is hating on plastic in general, just the cheapo crap Samsung uses. If they used a denser polymer without any gloss then it might be better.

WELL really disappointing step by samsung!!!
really expected something monstrous specs bt really disappointing features and design.
htc one x is the best.
htc will come to 1st position soon with their one series!!
i m sure that samsung will never b able to sell their s3's as much as their s2's.
so samsung keep ur fingers crossed.

ralf, 08 May 2012Everything is good but the only disappointment is microsim ... moreDude you can always get ur normal sim card cut to micro sim card at any airtel/vodafone store across india. i did it for iphone for free.
Also dont ask for a new micro sim card, they wont give u easily.
