I could even expand Galaxy S II photos from 8MP to 12MP, and they would look better. Needless to mention, Galaxy S III has even better camera sensor than Galaxy S II. So, GTFO troll.

finding it hard to get as excited about it as the rest of you, its just another android handset, ill get excited when somebody does something a little bit different, all phones are boring just now, the only difference between them all is the name on the back.....nuff said

Xperia s not expandable memory either! S3 getting 64gb version and with micro sd thats 96gb memory! How on earth can xperia s be compared to this? Also some xperia s screens are all yellowish - cheap and nasty!

It has 8.4k likes on Facebook from GSMArena..This is huge in just a couple of days so interest is extremly high in fact its all the tech sites are talking about.
There are umpteen types of plastic and does not bother me one bit,never has..It does mean it gives the radio signals the best chance they can to do their job boosting battery life.All metal would also increase the weight and people always vote for slim lightweight smartfones..I prefer a thicker mobile it fits better in hands,is more comfortable and you can get a bigger battery in.
Samsung did listen to its customers and getting a 2100mA removeable battery in that size phone and card slot is what folk wanted.

This cheap plastic body and ugly design phone will be sold in millions.I don't say that,popularity says.Hardware is superb but in my opinion as this is high end phone the design must be superb.I know why Samsung do so.Because they have to sell Samsung galaxy s3 and galaxy note equally.I will not buy this cheap plastic phone.I will wait for Samsung galaxy note2 having s3 hardware.Hope the notes build quality be better.

m86k, 06 May 2012True, people hate TouchWiz mostly based on ignorance / rumo... moreFor me its adds samsungs own music player and concert hall setting which is abscent in the Nexus line up due to pure Android.
That pull down menu on TouchWiz is superb your right and the little unknown tricks you mention..Their is also where you alter brightness within apps as well and sure some other good options..I dont have any Android fone ATM have sold the lot for SGS3 ..I am using my N8 till end of May..

Only main different is the quadcore CPU nothing more.
And no one will notice the differense between the SG3 and Xperia S in real time ib daily use.

The specs are great .... But it is only 1GB of ram , I think it is not enough when looking to the quad core processor ... There's no improvement on cameras mega pixels , it keeps the 8 mp that found on the galaxy s2 ... Sure there's some other improvements on the camera .... The phone ( like the most android phones ) getting bigger and bigger ... The 4.8 inch screen is great for browsing and watching movies , but it's a very big for a phone ... The s2 is big enough ..... And why samsung still keeping the cheap plastic for its high end models

Those who say that the design is the only downside should think that its the most selling aspect of a phone...who would want from a big and ugly speedy phone? Tell me...executive? Of course not its so cheap plastic for them...women? They cant even hold it in on hand...maybe only computer freaks would like it and its not sure...i think its a big fail for samsung...
Im not an apple fan, i own an n9 but i think apple understand very well people needs...

Being a Galaxy S user... Used SGS1 and then got the SGS2, the only thing which I didnt like in SGS3 design is the back layout of camera,flash light and the speaker (all in a straight line... why ?) The SGS2 design is much better (both front and backside).
