Brought this phone because my friend said Galaxy's are good! paid over $800 and its slow small screen and it sucks. My dad brought the iPhone 8 and the screens way better and bigger its cheaper and 20x faster, never buying a Samsung ever again. Saved up for nearly a year for my first phone as well! :(

daughter upgraded got her s3...had it about 5 years, bit slow sometimes has great pics happy with it...use it till it dies...

I'm still married to this phone. 5 years of happiness and still going strong. custom ROMs amazing. this is the best phone of all time. I agree with some reviews here Samsung need to upgrade it to S3+ or something with better camera & 3gb ram & bigger display maybe 5.5" I'll definitely buy it.

Turn off phone and then hold the Volume UP+Power+Home button for 20-30 seconds and it should boot where you can delete cache and User Data and get functionality back.

Does anyone know a solution for my Galaxy S3? I try booting the phone up, it gets stuck on the AT&T Logo. My home button isn't working either.

I took it out of the drawer after a few years... i flashed LineageOS 14.1 with minimal gapps , and with a few minor tweaks , it works perfectly ! fluent, responsive... i dare to say it works better and faster than running original ICS... again, don't expect miracles from a 1GB RAM phone but I am really surprised and satisfied with how everything works ! oh and I forgot, battery lasts twice as long than it did running ICS!

The S3 performance are very decent when the hardware ressources are not drained by the OS.
