Samsung's are craps when it comes to mobile. I have Samsung Galaxy s2 and sony xperia s. I can easily tell the difference btw the two. Samsung should learn frm Nokia and HTC when it comes to camera quality. Google, i am having hard times in likin' ur OS. Android seems slow no matter the processors and number of cores u add on it. I left my smooth ios to android just bcos it allows bluetooth transfer and downloading frm other sites. I think i will go for a WP this year, Apollo to b precise.

Hello there, I am a working freelance amateur photographer who uses Camera, CPU, GPU and monitor every single day and as you all know that CPU, GPU, display screen and camera work almost exactly the same way of how all these mobile systems are built into such a small and compact design so there are definitely a few things to look at.
First of all, the camera. If you think that the 12MegaPixel works like a pro on the Xperia, try again with a Nikon D700 which also have 12MP BUT FULL FRAME 35mm sensor. Obviously the quality aren't as close at all. With this you'll conclude that the 12MP means nothing at all, it's basically just a matter of image size. Next time you wanna commment about the camera on a mobile system, make sure you check on the Hi-ISO Low Light Performance, Maximum Aperture of the Camera Lens and also hi/low shutter speed capability, the same way you differentiate DSLR cameras.
Secondly, if you think that a Quad Core processor is way better than a Single/Dual core processor, let's think again. Multi-core CPU are usually only needed when we're doing lots of multitasking, for example: If I'll be doing Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe Bridge with Sony Vegas Pro 10 running in the background rendering some video, definitely I'll need something like an Intel i7 or AMD A8 which usually has up to 8 cores of 2.8-3.2GHz processor with 4x4GB of RAM Memory. And if I'm only doing some browsing, listening to music on my iTunes, downloading some pirated movies and also scanning my computer with AVG Free in the background, a system with an Intel i3/AMD A6 with dual/quad core with 1.5-2.8GHz are way too powerful for such use. It's the same for the GPU too. And remember that an 8-Cores 3.2GHz Intel might be faster/slower than a similar indentical 8-Cores 3.2GHz AMD processor. Clearly, GHz too means nothing but only a CPU calculation frequency!!!
Last but not least, screen size! Gosh you guys... 4",4.3",4.7",5.0",5.3",5.7" and what's next 6.0"? You see I multitask on many different computers everyday and I also switch from a Windows 7 system to a Mac OS X Lion once in a while in my everyday computing, obviously I am looking into many different monitors with many different size, DPI, PPI, contrast ratio, flicking frequency, color depth, color temperature and all that... Still... Do you really feel that the screen size on a mobile device bother you that much? After all what's the point of criticizing someone else's phone screen size? I have a friend who hold her 7" Galaxy Tab on her face while talking to her boyfriend, it looks funny for the first time but seriously we don't really care anymore after the 3rd times. These companies makes mobile devices with so many different sizes and all that PPI and resolution, for only one reason, 'CHOOSE THE BEST ONE THAT SUITS YOU!!!'.
Still, these are just my personal preferences on all these arguments, you reserve all the rights to disagree with me but fellas, I LOVE EVERY SINGLE FRIGGIN MOBILE DEVICES IN THE MARKET NOW.
THANK YOU! ^...^

At least they... moreHello my stranger friend.
About the proccessor it's GHz not MHz.... a small mistake typing.. no big deal.
I also would like to see 1,8 GHz or 2 GHz but a guad
core proccesoor @ 1,4 GHz is far better than a single or dual core @ 2 GHz

These specs are impossible. Why would Samsung make their top model with a 1.5-year-old Mali-400 GPU? That's ridiculous. Samsung never disappoints with its top models. We will find out the specs on May 3 once and for all.

This is a shame...Though i am a big fan of samsung and a proud owner of Galaxy S2 but look S3's specification... Just a size difference and CPU d/f ...other things are same as compare to GS2... even i was expecting 12-megapixal camera but it cames with just 8-Megapixal camera... it means Sony's Xpira S is batter than Galaxy S3 with 12-megapixal camera and its stunning design... ??? Anyhow now i,ll not sold my s2 ... im disappointed with s3 ...

AnonD-4617, 29 Apr 2012it's a quad core bro!So what, speed is as same as single core processors.
It's quad because android 4.0 is too heavy OS which requires those elements. (only my opinion)

Mobilemaster, 29 Apr 2012Quad Core is too slow for you? Nokia has ONLY Single Core p... moreI know what does quad means, and it's not about cores, it' s about speed, handling multitasking and making effect on battery.
Nokia has the record of 72 open apps (I repeat 680 MHz processor and 256 MB of RAM).
Oh yeah, I bet that it will have same problem as Ipad 3, heating, getting warm while downloading.

MP doesn't matter. It's a phone. The lens/chip is smaller than your fingrenail, more megapixels is not going to get give you a better picture. I doubt the real resolution is over 2MP.
