AnonD-256585, 07 Jun 2014plz help me guys i am extremely confused between xperia sp ... moreBased on experience, Xperia SP and the Galaxy S3 are quite similar in battery life and speed.
However, S3's both front and back camera click 10 times better and crisp pictures than the Xperia SP. In fact, the front camera on the xperia sp is useless, while I found that of S3 excellent.
Internal storage on S3 is also almost 5GB more.
Many find the body of the Xperia phones better. SP is also a newer model with kitkat coming, but the Kitkat updates introduced by Sony for the high end Xperia Z and other models have been a complete failure. So I don't think SP has a bigger advantage in software.
The audio quality of the S3 is also way better because of the Wolfson DAC and as per gsmarena audio test results, whereas the xperia SP's walkman's clearbass and dynamic normaliser actually lower the volume of the song suddenly after 3-4 seconds. I have tried multiple Xperia SP and other Xperia phones with the purple walkman, and this issue makes music experience quite dull for audiophiles like me.
To sum up, if camera/music doesn't really matter to you, go for the Xperia SP, otherwise go for the S3.

guys recently i sold my s3 and bought huawei ascend g6 ...now after usin it a week ...i would say that this is really better than s3 ...except music in handsfree ...rest of the things are awesome ...so i will suggest u to buy g6 instead of buying s3...

Install slimkat on it, it's a lightweight KitKat. It works blazing fast. And it takes around 600MB of RAM memory, so it's around 200 MB less than stock S3 android. Give it a try.. search for Slimkat.

I dont think that Samsung Galaxy s3 will get updated KitKat .. it's just a rumor ..... but it's not a problem at all ...So you have two choices 1 - You can make Root to the device and get rid of the extra applications that come with the official Android 4. 3 so you will get more space in RAM and internal memory and reduce battery consumption ..... 2 - if you want to upgrade to KitKat you can use Syanogen Mod or any other open system But in this case you must know that( maybe )you will face problems in some apps when you try to open it because the open system is not stable....

gbs, 06 Jun 2014Can u please tell me how much free ram available in normal... moreNo Kitkat is yet available for SGS3. you can flash a custom kitkat ROM however. I'm using OmniROM 4.4.3 right now, and most of the time around 80% of the RAM is used

Guys don't buy this phone nw onwards. This is 2 year old, no software updates even it doesn't get Kitkat. 4.3 has many issues which are not fixed by Samsung. They are concentrating more on new models. I used it just 5 months n sold it.

Battery life is the worst! It's good that Samsung improve the battery in S5. From 2100 mah for S3 to 2800 mah for S5.
