I can assure a 7 years old DSLR with a "poor" 6 MP camera will be miles ahead of any phone camera out there. And why would you need 12MP ? Large resolutions are needed for large prints and printing large pictures from any cellphone is not worth it as the quality is just too poor.

I have SII and I'm satisfied but this SIII will be overrun by new Iphone simply because 8MP camera :-(
Too small for such a great phone.
I have expected 10-12MP.
