The S5 has KK, more ram, faster cpu & gpu. And it has the same lag /stutter issues as the SIII. and after reading the article at the link below I saw that the workaround is exactly the same as what Freefaller has given in the past to deal with the problem on the SIII

Added to which kk handicapped the SD card slot in phones that upgraded to it. So why would SIII owners want that.

my s3 doesnt walk in internet. i really dont know what im going to do to make my internet on this phone work quickly..it is not only in the signal. i have so many sim card that i can try but suddenly they didnt work as well. and always my sim card is access change

Hi guys..
there is a problem inmy fone..
when i listen to music & the screen get locked, music player stucks alot.. how can i resolve it..
i used multiple music players from play store but the same issue exists..
my cousin also have s3 & he has the same prom..
its on stock firmware..

I had sent an email asking to roll out kitkat update for Galaxy S3 in India. I got reply as " Our R&D are in process of developing the same, soon it will be launched in India for our esteemed customers".
It means Kitkat for Galaxy S3 in work; will be launched in just few weeks.

Thanks for the information, that is a problem regarding the firmware right? What if the whole chip becomes faulty, due to a problem with the hardware but there is nothing wrong with the firmware, can even that be mended by replacing the firmware?

Don't worry about it too much, you're not the only person with that problem; it's more common than you think. You would think that all sim cards are made to the same standard but they are not. Your phone number is written into the sim card coding, but not where the S3 can read it.

Yes I'm happy with my device despite su... moreWhen a chip has faulty firmware it can cause it to fail. When the chip does fail sometimes it is irreversible. firmware problems in chips are fixed by flashing new firmware that has the problem patched before the chip fails(this applies to most electronics e.g. tv, DVD drives, bluetooth headsets to name a few.) On smart phones firmware are user updated when you flash the ROM. (on tv's you download the firmware to a Usb stick and install from the Usb port on the TV. Bluetooth headsets, you can flash when connected to a pc. And DVD players you burn the data to a disc.)
And that's how a hardware problem can be fixed with software.

yes the battery drains bit quickly in 4.3 because alot of files keep running u can,t see u could try turning off the GPS ,disable maps,and turn off ur wifi when u r not using. if u have already done this then download greenify from this u can see which apps r running and can make them stop it will just stop the apps running which drains ur battery and u will be still able to open any app.saerch from youtube how to download greenify on ur device.r u could go back to older jelly bean for battery,r u could buy 7000 mah battery for s3
