My main complaint about this phone is the battery runs down to quickly and another complaint is the screen is sometimes to sensitive and at other not sensitive enough

I will tell him to update and try using his mobile on the spot. But users in S4 area replied me that it is not so. This doesn't mean that you are lieing here. What really is going on?. Why no one is cared to publish this news in S4, S5, N710o and note 3 area?.

only the apps that came with the phone ROM can write to the SD. nothing form the play store will write to the SD.
it has something to do with a security command google put into the 4.4 update.
so use a "friends" note 2 as a test subject before you update yours. lol.

me to get rid of itThere are some shameless people who say that S3 is worst. Just don't care. Install clean master pro and history eraser pro to delete all junk files. Disable and force stop all apps thatbyou don't need in settings -> application manager -> ALL.
Do factory reset once and try the above remedy.

There are some weird things happening in the mobile world now.
Android 4.4.2 cripples the SD card slot on your HTC One Max yet the Galaxy S5 comes with 4.4.2 AND a SD Card slot.
The Motorola Moto G had OTG on 4.3 but it was crippled on 4.4. Yet the Moto G (India) has a dual sim slot AND OTG on 4.4
It seems that Google are doing everything they can to force users to use their Google Drive (for data mining).
It's about time the Revolution started against Google.

Heads up to every one that is upset the SIII was not on the 4.4 update list.
you should be very HAPPY that it is NOT on that list because 4.4 cripples your SD card slot.
i got my HTC ONE MAX this weekend gone and updated it to 4.4 on Sunday. and now i can't use any file manager to copy/past/move, or create new folders on the SD. so i now have to use a PC to move file to and from internal memory to SD or even move from one location on the SD to a next.
and after looking up the problem i now see its not just a HTC thing. the S4 and note 3 users have the same problem.
the nexus does not because it has no SD card slot.

This phone is contemporary and similar to the HTC One X and yet, the X has 2 times the ram, a 1.5GHz quadcore, kickass Nvidia graphics and today costs like $100 less than this,... makes you wonder..

But I changed that to the unlocked ROM for my region some time back TTT.
then last week the TTT batch of phones got the 3.4 update OTA, which I did.
I have a SIII from digicel and there batch of ROM have not gotten the 4.3 update as yet. That is why I think the SIII was not on the list for 4.4 because they are focusing on completing the 3.4 Update for everyone before even thinking of starting the seeding of a next ROM.
