hi,
my s3 has developed a small but irritating issue after updating to 4.3. the battery level drops very quickly lets say from 90% to 40% within 2 to 3 hrs. I switch it off and plug the charger and immediately switch it on and bingo I found my battery level back at around 80-85% level where I should be. then it discharges normally. it happens once in two or three days. anyone has any solutions.

11 months ago I paid £370 for a phone that is now does not work and s worthless. This is how it happened.
I bought a Samsung Galaxy S3 through Amazon Marketplace at end February 2013. At the time I was surprised that the supplier didn't provide a VAT receipt. I queried it and was fobbed off with the answer that the only document available was the Amazon 'Final Details for Order' document - which specifically states that it is NOT a VAT receipt. Amazon Customer Services were little help, referring me back to the Marketplace supplier every time.
So far so bad, then last Saturday, 1st Feb 2014 the phone developed a fault with the display. I took it to my local Samsung Approved Repair Centre to be told that the phone isn't covered by the two-year Samsung warranty as I had thought because it was made for the Hong Kong market and the Samsung Centre can only repair EU models under warranty.
It gets worse, I have gadget insurance so I then called them. They were sympathetic and helpful but there are two snags: firstly they don't pay for repairs that ought to be covered under warranty. Secondly before entering a claim they expect to see a proof of purchase receipt with VAT number and IMEI number (neither are quoted on my Final Details for Order). I have made a request for special pleading in this case - we shall see what happens.
Of course I also went back to Amazon. They insist you should first approach the vendor through Amazon, which I did. I had a very prompt reply to tell me that company is no longer a Marketplace vendor. So, of course I e-mailed Amazon Customer Services pointing out that they have allowed a vendor onto Marketplace which sold me a dodgy product with NO warranty and has subsequently disappeared. Amazon's response is to wash their hands of the whole business.

P.S. The phone itself was fine until it developed the fault with the display.

my s3 was switched to some voice prompts. Whenever i touch it tells the time then reads "Double tap and then swipe the screen to unlock".
Am not able to do a factory reset because the screen is not scrolling. What do i do?

Hi
My S3 heats up after using Internet just for 15 minutes and it get extremely hot when i play games.
Is that normal or should I need to contact service center.
Please suggest anyone.

kanna, 01 Feb 2014i went to the samsung service centre for update my s3 phone... moreIndian Update is available on sammobile.com, you can download and install this update using Odin. ALso clear all data using factory reset for better performance and smother/stable experience. If you root you can also install boeffla kernel for better battery life and buttery experience. I am on open europe firmware

I have experienced the ongoing issue with samsung galaxy phones... These phones really does fry-up micro sd's. It fried my new imation class 4 micro sd. I did my research and this seems to be a serious fault with these phones... #samsung please do something about this.

i got stock rom of 4.1.2 & 4.3 in my pc.
i download it in samsung firmware live.
any time i can upgrade/downgrade my sIII in odin mode...
for now i go back to 4.1.2
waiting to release of 4.4.2
its better for me...

New update 4.3 is not good as 4.1 .it freezes everyday once . don't update it is not stable nd uses about 5gb of memory.wait for 4.4 .
