Azmil, 17 Jan 2014I did backup my efs folder and rolled back to 4.1.2 by root... more@Azmil or anybody else

I shave several questions here :

1.If I don't use any BTU firmware, can I use the stated method?
2.Do I MUST flash the MG4 firmware if I want to revert back to 4.1.2 ? Can I flash others than MG4 ?
3.You use which method to root ?
4.You move the backup EFS folder in the file manager or through the EFS pro?
5.EFS pro isn't an app from PlayStore, is it? It is a tool developed by XDA member and should be install on desktop computer,am I right?

I'm using the same BTU as well!!!
Smooth, less lag..battery backup seems decreasing a little bit. But I don't mind that, I'm purchasing a new battery. Been using my s3 for more than 6 months and with heavy use, I always expect that.
Hey!! I'm playing Asphalt 8 on my s3 while connecting to my tv. Hahah you should try it.

AnonD-225230, 18 Jan 2014Hello, I just want to ask if 4.3 is better than the 4.1.... moreMy opinion, after more than a month with the BTU firmware (MK6 build), it's quite good, the games I played earlier like Asphalt 8 & Fifa 14 on 4.1.2, were much smoother in 4.3. Battery backup got no improvement, it's the same as 4.1.2. I do heard some negative reviews, and I respect whatever they typed, but this is my own experience with the new 4.3. :-)

I just successful rooted my S3 in 3 minutes. Then I flashed custom rom Cyanogenmod 11 4.4.2 kitkat on it. So far running smooth, stable, and battery saving. You all can try this rom. To whom to know on how to root, I can guide you in wechat (stendet). Sharing is caring

Anyone here having problem between these 2 version, 4.3 and 4.1.2, I will try to help but with only what I'm capable of. I don't know everything but I would try. Looks like somebody here didn't get a clue on the steps of rolling back to 4.1.2 from 4.3 that I typed earlier using my own experience, he couldn't argue with any of those steps so he just typed a 'saying'??

                            I did backup my efs folder and rolled back to 4.1.2 by rooting first. I rolled back just because to make sure wether I could. Now I'm happy using 4.3 Easy;
                            1. After root on 4.1.2, I installed EFS Pro. Opened it and turn on the root access.
                            2. I just copied the EFS folder to my SD card. Then I also made a 2nd copy on my pc. Then I flashed 4.3 via Odin.
                            3. On 4.3, I go to download mode and flashed back 4.1.2 MG4 firmware. After that, theres a problem with the factory mode display on screen caused by the efs folder corrupted.
                            4. I root, installed efs pro, turn on the root access and directly delete the efs folder. Then I replaced it with the efs folder I backed up earlier and restart.
                            5. Running on 4.1.2 with no problem, I use triangle away to reset binary count and reflash 4.3.

                            P/S: I didn't google this, I did it all myself :-)

Freefaller™, 17 Jan 2014@ Azmil Oooh, you HAVE been busy on Google, haven't you.... more'Flashing v4.3 onto the phone rewrites the EFS folder into a format that v4.1.2 cannot read'- is that what you wrote earlier? Pfffftt!!! Hahahaha you are clearly the one who's buzy with google. Do you own a S3? Do you know of a MG4 firmware? Well, I did say that 4.3 got no problem for me. And I did say that 'if' anyone is having any problems, they could always go back to 4.1.2 (which according to you they can't). Hmm off course efs backup need root, did I say they don't need to root? Well users can always reset the count binary by triangle away, and then un-root by flashing with the MG4 firmware. And if anyone who face any problems here, I believe we should help them, not criticise them. I don't know everything, but I never typed anything by just assuming on something I'm not sure.

Oooh, you HAVE been busy on Google, haven't you. You learned about EFS backup; but I bet you've never done it, only read about it! Oh, and don't forget to tell users that you have to root their phone before they can do it. You seemed to have missed that part out. (Perhaps you didn't learn enough!).
Anyway, according to one of your earlier posts v4.3 is faultless, (despite all the complaints on this Forum about it), so why would anyone WANT to go back to v4.1.2? Make your mind up!
