I am a dedicated sony xperia fan.but when a friend was getting rid of a well used galaxy s3 ( needed battery and cover) like decided to take it on
The first thing I noticed that even with a,well scratched screen the display was bright and sharp.
    Great size,bit battery hungry.
The major plus point and where it beats my xperia so was the photos.absolutely sharp and clear.much.much better than my xperia special
Great phone.not top of the range but we'll worth buying
    *****

I am facing problem. When I put charge.. it automatically goes to driving mode and s voice agreement notice displays and cut off the charging... When I switch off my mobile it switches on again immediately. Confused. What's the problem.done factory reset. Problem persists again and again. What's the solution for this.

AnonD-570859, 10 Aug 2016Really good phone. But seriously slow (second hand so maybe... moreReplacing your battery is cheaper except for what you have said about breaking the screen. The newer phones use a gorilla glass that is very, very hard unless you happen to hit one of the phone glass edges which shatters the glass. It is very similar in concept to pre-stressed concrete, but in glass. I find the best protection though is a flip cover that actually covers the screen when not in use. I have broken such flip cover cases without even damaging the phone, which just slipped out of the case on the ground sideways and got minimal scratching on the back. I have yet to have broken the glass on a phone because of that. Even a theoretically more protective case that sells for over $40 did not perform as well for one of my sons who dropped his phone with a result of a broken screen. Amazon.com has a large selection of such flip cover cases, some of which double as phone stands from $3 to $20. All give basically the same protection.

sangamesh, 11 Aug 2016how to update Samsung I9300I modelYou can update all but the speed of your Samsung Galaxy S3 by installing a different ROM OS, such as Cyanogenmod's latest which adds features to old phones. See: http://www.cyanogenmod.org/ for more information. The phone's speed though is hardware determined if you are wanting a faster phone. A lot of the new phones though have built in batteries that don't really last much longer, but need internal repair work to replace, so if you get that be sure to have a backup battery pack such as what is sold by Anker. It has the lightest and most compact one one I know of for the charging capacity, although I have no real way of knowing if something much improved even over that is available online. I have come to trust the Anker brand, especially its premium charging and data transfer cables that are reinforced to prevent over-bending. The company also makes a car jump starter that is very, very compact and uses the lithium ion batteries. That can double as a re-charging battery unit, but not without impact on its charge for jump starting.

AnonD-570859, 10 Aug 2016Really good phone. But seriously slow (second hand so maybe... moreBattery overheating is a sign of either too many concurrently running applications or the need for a new battery. A battery's capacity declines over time, so I buy a new battery once a year and get last year's battery as a charged backup battery. CM Master and some other apps can turn off applications running in background. You can also extend capacity since all apps take up memory by adding an SD card with up to 64 GB. a low cost thing, and do settings, more, application manager, and then for each app you don't heavily use send it to the SDcard where access is slower. From none to a lot of the application can be separated that way freeing phone immediate memory.

However, if you have loads of important data that wasn't backed up by Google, you can ask the phone repair guy to back up your phone's internal storage on a flash drive or something like that. I think he can do it. Here's a free tip: try to aim for phones with a removable battery, they are designed to last long.

AnonD-570557, 10 Aug 2016I am not seeing anywhere in the specs where this phone can ... moreIn the WLAN specs it said "dual-band", but not sure if they ment it to be 2,4 and 5.
However, I can tell you that the phone does do the 5 band.

Really good phone. But seriously slow (second hand so maybe just worn out after 3+ years) and serious overheating problem when using anything over the internet. Also, screen breaks easily and then requires fix to work. Mine used to have long (ass) battery but has decreased so much these last months and pretty much screams for a battery replacement. Wouldn't pay more than 60 EUR for a perfect condition one right now. Pros: takes SD-cards!!!! all internet-using apps work pretty well really.

                                        Dear all,

Kindly, i was bought the Samsung S3 first version GT-9300 , before five year ago,
it seems to me that fantastic design model but when i was started use it after one month i hate all Samsung product because i bay 700$ for S3
i was tried all the available solution to solve the hanging problem , like deleted all the application not use , custom Rom but i was Realized the problem its not the software The problem is the RAM , I search the internet how to increase the ram for S3, Finaly
i found the program called "Swapper " but to install it you should make your S3 "Rooted" i was install the Custom Rom Called " CyanogenMod " Android Version 6.0.1 and now can i used my S3 Without problem

i hope the above solution help your problem
