Brand loyalty? What are you talking about? I'v... moreYou mentioned being loyal and that's all I disagreed with so I posted how I felt about that small part of your post.
As for this post.
the SIII is truly high end. So it's difficult to do major improvements to the hardware in 1 year.
But they still have to make money by getting people to buy/re-buy.
So software is the easy option, to get old users to buy new phones and get new users not to buy the old device that was already top notch.... (that's not working with ne though. lol) they can withhold OS upgrades all they like because so far none have been major. Just don't holdout on bug fixes. That is what is pissing me off. It's far too long they have left the SIII with its slow to respond dialer & contacts.

Get real! You go on about NOT being loyal to any particular brand and then in your last post state - 'S3 is a great revolutionary piece that driving other manufacturers crazy to beat it'.
Samsung are getting desperate now; they have just announced the i9507 to go with the i9500, i9502, i9505, and i9506 because sales have failed to reach expectations. The S4 isn't a bad phone, it just isn't good ENOUGH phone to beat it's competitors.
I'll stick with my S3 while it does what I want, but when it doesn't I'll have no problem about jumping ship to another manufacturer.

Means.... (Original equipment manufacturer) for what you get in rhe box for the SIII and other phones that use that same ear bud.
It didn't have fancy packaging when you got it with the phone, so it's not going to have fancy packaging when you buy it OEM.
Fancy box and paper is for things marked as retail.
The HTC ear buds are HTC accessories.
It says bulk packaging... that also means it's not coming in a retail box because the seller got many in 1 big box.

I found the quality went from perfectly usable but not that good for music, to excellent. However they were often sold as apparantly the same earphones...but would.be of differing quality....some with short leads some with long. I managed to find some excellent ones although they were so short i needed a bt adapter (which i had anyway). Also amazon and the sellers have so far returned and refunded any discrepancies i have had. The thing with amazon is you click the earphones you want, read the reviews...but infact the item can be sold from.different sellers...so it differs. The excellent ones i got were for Sgs1 sold by Amazon, the seller was Bkat. I use them now still....just for gaming occasionally.

Brand loyalty? What are you talking about? I've stated before that I will keep my S3 while it does everything I need, which it does at the moment.
All I said was that S3 owners deserved better treatment from Samsung. The S3 was the most popular phone they ever produced, it sold more in numbers than all their other phones put together. That's the point I was trying to make.
Samsung have gone stale; every phone they bring out looks the same as every other one. Not a bad thing to stay with a winning formula, but hey, we all like change.
The S4 isn't selling as well as it should because the S3 is almost identical in looks and performance and is half the price.

I’ll change to any phone (brand or OS) if I think it’s a major improvement over what I’m using at the time. It would be nice if the SIII got the 4.3 upgrade but I didn’t get/buy the phone based on a promise of a 4.3 upgrade. So its not a deciding factor when a do get a next phone.
I more look at…. was it too unstable, slow from day 1, lacking software I needed, easily broken, bad reception & made clams in documentation that faults. That would make me boycott a brand or OS.

GS3 EARPHONES, 13 Aug 2013Hi guys , I don't have that impressive phone , but want to ... moreJust because they are sgs3 earphones it doesnt mean that they will be better. WHEN i have used earphones from different phones together, they are not always compatible. YOU will know as the treble and bass will be way off, like no bass etc. However it can be mix and match as i find my nokia bluetooth adapter (for earphones) works on all the ones i've tried with it. I once bought sgs2 earphones and had to send them back for the reasons i just mentioned (not sure if i tried those with the bt adapter). SO keep the box, or whatever presentable if you have to return them.

How about discussing why Samsung have left the S3 owners till last for the 4.3 firmware update? I think it's shameful that Samsung have ignored the S3 when you consider that the company have sold more of this model then all the other models put together. Even their NX camera is getting the update before us. We've been loyal to Samsung and this is how they repay us!
What do others think? Will you remain loyal to Samsung after this, because I'm having second doubts whether I will stay with them for my next phone when I need one; especially with the power of the new phones being introduced now.
