You are saying that your phone recognizes other WiFi networks but not the one at work. Is that right?
Other people in the office are experiencing the same thing.
Why are you blaming the OS or the phone?
Your problem lies with the outdated office network. See the IT guys at work. It's their problem, not yours.

Hey, I just checked for s/w updates yesterday and suddenly a notification popped up saying"acces to s/w updates will be provided to the users in the order in which they request it.Try later".
Such a notification usually pops up before a new android update is a about to arrive....
Could this mean android 4.2.2 is rolling out for galaxy s3?

Anthony, 29 Jul 2013If you didn’t clear your cache petition before you updated ... moreI did a factory reset post firmware update and wat I did was through samsung kies ,so the entire 1.6GB firmware was over written . so guess it was clean update. And lemme knw to clear cache. Some app chache s/w I have which am using.

I have been using the samsung sIII for the past three months. Its fine,but got hang few items. I dont know why it was happening.

Here am facing a prob with ... moreIf you didn’t clear your cache petition before you updated your ROM. it’s a good chance you will have to clear it and do a factory reset.
Unlike in WM, when you do a ROM update it doesn’t do a clean install and Its common to see conflicts with drivers and other things from the old ROM that was stored in the Cache partition.
But before you do the clear cache partition and hard reset try
Settings>Wi-Fi> (tap your work router)>forget.
Scan for the router again and set it up again.
If it still don’t work, then you have to do the CC & HR mentioned above.
Make sure your contacts are set to sync with your google account.
Backup your what’s app conversations.

I not saying that it is, but it sounds as though you corrupted the EFS folder during the update on your phone.
The EFS folder contains some important but basic info related to your device identity like Wi-Fi address, Bluetooth MAC address, product code, and the main IMEI address (nv_data.bin).
Now if this EFS partition is accidently corrupted then your phone’s IMEI no. will erased and those things I mentioned above will no longer be recognized by your carrier.
IF this is what has happened then your only option would be to take it to a Samsung Repair Centre.

Hi Freefaller & Anthony...
Here am facing a prob with my work wifi network. Am using JB 4.2.2 In my S4 and was able to connect to my work network. post I did a firmware update I lost the connection and its been a month I cannit get back to network. used LEAP WIFI too... installed digital certificate as well.. but still am out if network :(
Work netwotk is of IBM's. Have u ever heard of such issue wit android? Can u help me pls :)
Getting annoyed as other people with ICS all can connect,but highrt OS version mine cannot :(

Install your s3 an aircon or an exhaust fan so that it will not get heated up

I have an s3 and am unable to talk on my phone from inside a building when standinqg beside persons using other brands of phones and the same ell phone providers. Is there any way to boost the phone capabilities of my phone. The other aspectas of the s3 are amazing and I use my phone for work and is embarrasing to have to walk outside to have a conversation wirh my clients

Clear cache and reset. My S3 battery seem to last longer than normal.
