AnonD-81866, 16 Apr 2013Done. 100% OK. what next.Unzip odin3 and the ROM you downloaded.
Alt+Ctrl+delete go to task manager and under processes, end anything related to kies.
(You don’t want kies trying to hijack the phone when odin3 is working on it.)

Anonymous, 16 Apr 2013It doesn't have 4G????!!! does it have different with I 930... moreUsually if your phone doesn't have 4G signal you need to set your phone to "CDMA/LTE/EVDO" in Settings > Wireless and Network > More Settings > Mobile Networks > Network Mode. If it is set to CDMA only then you won't get an LTE signal even if one is available.
Odd...does it not also say LTE? did the box it came with say LTE on it? Even the display im sure you looked at in the sprint store said 4G LTE on it.. So how exactly did they trick customers into buying the phone?

        Power off the phone
Remove any case you may have on (just easier to work that way) take off battery cover as well if it helps you.
Hold volume up + home + power keys all at the same time.
As soon as you see the android with the open chest release the power key, then the rest of keys.
In there use volume keys no navigate to clear cache partition and power key to enter.
Then navigate to the option to reboot the system and power key to enter.
When you have successfully done this let me know.

If you want a rooted phone, you will still have to root it after you change the ROM.

As for kies there is a 50/50 chance that kies will say your device dose not support it’s update service. BUT OTA updating will work for updated for the new ROM you have on as normal.

You can use kies to restore your original ROM but there is still a 50/50 chance that kies will still say updating is not supported. BUT OTA updating will work.

Kies is just not 100% dependable.

To check to see if kies can restore your phone open it a go to
                Tools>Firmware upgrade and initialzation
Put in your full model name (case sensitive)
Put in your S/N which is found on the battery compartment sticker. (case sensitive)

                Note:
                a) If it accepts both, then you phone can be restored from any crap you do/don’t do.
                b) The info you have to enter above must be done with the phone not connected to the PC or it will not work.

Chances are you will not use kies to restore your phone any way as UK BTU will always get newer ROMs long before your provider get updated ROMs

That has been the experience with my SIII that is also provider branded.

It’s a service that company’s offer because online shopping is a big business but most places will not ship to where you need it to go.
You would have to ask around in Australia who has the skybox service there.

The link below is to the company I use for skybox service.

And to get around your problem I took out a “skybox” which gives me a physical address in the USA (Miami to be exact) to have my packages delivered to and signed for. Then that company ships by air/delivers the package to me, for a price that is way less than it would cost if Amazon had to ship the item directly to me. The next up side as it is a USA address. I qualify for Amazon prime (on the US site) with free 2 day shipping to my skybox address.
