Basically, it's a great smartphone
I have one which is still working in my pocket...
BUT, after I knew that... mine got a SGS (Sudden Death Syndrome) I'm really disappointed.

I am really fed up with the battery life. I use lowest brightness, no Facebook or Twitter. I have Power Saving on all time and no Email sync, in fact no app syncing. I disabled everything! Wifi is turned off when I don't use it. 3G and GPS are never turned on but still I am not able to get a good amount of battery life out of this. The only solution I see is to buy an extended battery.

Unfortunately I'm out of Samsung! OUT! I was Samsung FC.. All my things was Samsung and, of course, the best and best-selling smartphone in the history: the S3!
I just couldn't believe when Samsung simply ignored all the buyers and didn't update Android version trying to force to buy the S4...
And the escuse was "it don't have Ram enough!" IT'S A LIE!!! How can Moto G has update everytime with the same Ram memory?!
I wanna be respected for those who I believe (I believed, in that case)..
So, I'm out of Samsung and I'm trying other trademarks who treat me better... Sorry!

I just wanna ask about the battery cuz my battery is messed up I guess as it runs out very fast.
so I wanted to know if I got a new original battery will it be good or still not as the fone is old so it drains the battery fast....cuz this is the only problem I face with my fone.

SYSTEMIC MEMORY : s3 neo has larger (1536mb) compared to s3 (1024mb) thus making s3 neo has advantages in smoother multitasking,faster web surfing, and spectacular gaming (do note that this is a comparison between s3 & s3 neo, not with other smartphones).
GRAPHIC PROCESSOR : S3 neo use adreno 305 while s3 use ARM Mali-400/mp4. Both are high end class of GPU according to gotoplist but adreno 305 is numbered 15 on the ranking while ARM Mali-400/mp4 is numbered 17. So, s3 neo has slightly better graphic (useful if you're a gamer).
CHIP : S3 uses Samsung Exynos 4 (4412) whis has faster CPU clock speed conpared to Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 8226 (used by s3 neo)
PROCESSOR : S3 has slightly better quadcore processor with 1400 MHz, ARM Cortex a9 than s3 neo (1200 MHz, ARM Cortex a7)
BATTERY : On standby (3g) s3 lasts longer-up until 32.1 days rather than 14.2 days for s3 neo. However, their batteries are of the same capacity which is 2100 mAh.
CORNING GORILLA GLASS : s3 has gorilla glass while s3 neo doesn't have it (this is according to CORNING|Gorilla Glass database) . Gorilla glass is more scratch resistant and harder to break compared to not having one. However, you may still protect your screen with tempered glass.
Iverall, s3 neo is better for speed (gaming,surfing) while s3 has bigger built in memory and the battery also lasts longer.

Working flawlessly with no lags whatsoever, even with the heaviest games. The battery life is superb and gets me through one and half days, on pretty good usage.
The display is crystal clear and has very good viewing angles.
The sound quality is splendid, owing to its Wolfson Audio Chip.
It has the best 8 mp camera I've seen around and the front camera quality is also surprisingly very clear.
Yes, posting this in July, 2015. Been two years with this phone and it never dissatisfied me.
Yes, the only drawback is that Samsung has stopped rolling out updates for this phone now, because the software support was only two years.

Have been using this phone for the last 3 years and looking at the performance of the mobile, it might go for next 2 years. no major issues till now.. powerful game runs smoothly. the only thing i hate about is that samsung has stopped giving updates for this phone
