Friend showed me "Waze" on his HTC ONE X its a nav app that actually has my country.
Was thinking I could stop using my HD2 for nav. Now.
But waze is crashing on my I93000. :(
Does anyone here use the app on a i9300?

S3 user, 01 Mar 2013Please clarify whether there are two versions of S3. one wi... moreJust so you know
HSPA+ WIMAX and LTE are all 4G standards just different protocols. (HSPA+ is the only one with true voice circuit WIMAX and LTE use VoIP)
Looking at a bit rate chart it gets completed.
      HSPA+ can have a throughput of 672Mbit/s
LTE can have 1Gbit/s fixed but mobile users are limited to 326Mb/s throughput
WiMAX is 70000mb/s but that is divided up by the amount of devices connected to a broadcast node.

Saying which version of 4G is fastest for the end user comes down to what the providers he/she can sign up with guaranties as there throughput and finding out what protocol they use. not really what 4G stranded you have in your phone hardware.

But not all SIII are I9300. When the model# changes so does the hardware, but it is still called an SIII. So what you need to look at is not model # to find what 3G frequencies it will work with.

S3 user, 01 Mar 2013Please clarify whether there are two versions of S3. one wi... moreI own the I9300 it supports HSPA and HSPA+
They both use the same radio but the protocols are different (HSDPA capable of downlink speeds of 14Mbit/s also known as 3G vs WCDMA capable of downlink speeds of 168Mbit/s)
HSPA+ uses the band more efficiently so if your service provider uses that protocol they can give you download speeds that are faster than a service provider using the HSPA protocol.
For some providers that don’t have LTE (4G), HSPA is marketed as 3G and the HSPA+ is marketed as (4G) as there claim is LTE is capable of 1gb speed but no provider sells that speed to date. And what is sold is very near to what can be accomplished using HSPA+
For this reason I wanted to know from some one that is paying for LTE what download speed they are getting. As my provider gives me 12mbps and they use the HSPA+ protocol (something that could be accomplished on the HSPA protocol.)

I hope you understand the mess of technology vs marketing

Hi Guys, I use a Galaxy S3 and I bought it in Dec'2012. Recently me and my S3 friends are experiencing faster battery draining issues and also charging the phone is taking a lot of time than normal. Is there anyone out there who is having the same problem?
