I had a similar experience recently with my friends S3. I had flashed JB onto his phone and he came back a few days later complaining that his battery only lasted 4 hours after I flashed it. I took the battery out of my phone and was about to insert his one into it when I noticed that it was marked 'Sansumg'. Apart from the obvious spelling mistake the battery look completely authentic. It was only when I pointed out the spelling mistake that he confessed to buying the battery on a well known auction site.

today I saw and held a knock off SIII in my hands for the very first time.
and I must say if I didn't have my real one in my hand at the same time I would have been fooled. it can really pass for the real thing if you dont know what to look for.
it belonged to a friend of mine and after we couldn't get the H+ DATA working and the wifi was also giving trouble, then I started to notice the Suttle physical difference in the phone. here is the list.....
1. no samsung written below the speaker grill in front. (only on battery cover which could be an original cover.)
2. I could see the location of the notification led even with the led off.
3. I could see the menu and back keys design even with the back light off.
4. the phone was the same size but the display was about 3mm shorter.
5. no secondary mic hole at top of phone.
6. shamfer on micro usb port is faceing battery compartment instead of screen.
7. lens on flash does not have the refraction lines.
8. led in flash is yellow round and bigger
9. battery is thinner. my original battery could not fit in the phone.
10. sim slot is the exposed slide in kind with no press ejection action.
11. wireless charging terminals have no prongs, and are flat plates.
12. mother board can be seen in seems when batrery cover removed.
13. writing on battery is upside down when installed in phone.
14. contact in headphone jack is horizontal with screen not off to the side at a 45 degree angle.
15. you don't get the interface for installing custom ROM by pressing volume down home power together. Instead you get phone diagnostics.
software came up as being custom in settings> about device.
but I don't count that because you can put a custom rom on an official SIII.
needless to say the custom rom had no SVOICE amongst other things.
hope this list help others to spot the fakes when looking for deals on the SIII price.

I am using this phone past six months first it was little bit lagy when it was in ics now 4.1.2 jelly bean makes a s3 more user friendly and good battery backup good mobile for daily uses a sweet little pocket computer

i have a problem with the play store.When i launch it,it goes directly to the apps category, and when i chose a category it just shows a blank page without anything written on it and do apps.Also when i try to search for an app it always shows no results found,whichever popular app i am searching for.If anybody could help it would be much appreciated

PR0_G@M3R, 16 Feb 2013guys i'm having a problem with the battery.Acttually I had ... moreof course it isnt but u may want to close all unnecessary tasks running in the background by holding down the home button then going to the icon for task manager and clearing ram, if that doesnt help try to factory reset the phone, also update it to jelly bean, its much more fluid than ics

guys i'm having a problem with the battery.Acttually I had this problem from the beginning I thought it was normal.
So I charged my phone(0%)to 100% and these are the things I did :changed the time and date (my phone was off for two weeks) , changed the wallpaper a couple of times and used some apps (S voice , S note etc ).This whole thing took about 42 minutes and the charge dropped 6%.I haven't updated my phone and it's still on ICS.I was just wondering if this is normal

(If I did that I would not have flash working in JB seeing we were all told JB doesn't support flash)
That is why I also said what the problem I was having with the update so people would know if there experience is the same.
Yours was not, so maybe my problem was caused by installing the new one without removing the old one first (I don't know)
When next I do a cache clean and hard reset I'll gave a newer version a try again.

The latest version of "Gl to Sd" is unusable, but I use an earlier version that without any problem move the folders "Android" and "data" and "Gameloft" to my external 64 Gd sd-card, FAT-32!

I've lost count of the number of apps I've updated only to find that the latest version is far worse than the previous version that worked fine on my phone.
Now I always wait for a few weeks and read all the feedback on new versions before I update.
If Anthony recommends an earlier version of Flash then I will take his word for it. He isn't God, but he does know his stuff when it comes to the S3.

I use ...34, have you tested every new update to ...47? Latest release is usually the most stable because all updates now are "only" buggfixes.
