Luckily those users who have experienced this trouble got their Galaxy S III quickly repaired (with replaced motherboards) or replaced altogether by Samsung.

The worst mobile ion the world is Samsung Galaxy S3 and the worst agent in the world is "U N I O N G R O U P".
This is my Story with S3 and union group.
After 4 weeks of waiting my S3 phone to be repaired (Change its mother board), After 3 visits from Maadi to Doki in 3*3 hours , After 15 Calls to call center and after 4 complains to the management. I received the phone with a new defect it is restarting when doing shut down. what a very bad agent and low quality. i will be wait for another time to be repaired. Finally, I will not think to buy any Samsung device again after this bad experiences.
1st job number is WJ074512121824 at 21-Dec-2012
2nd job number is 1123 at 13-Jan-2013
please help me because I got harmed from this scenario. I don't have my mobile from 21 December 2012 till now (almost 1 month).This is unacceptable by all means. If you can't repair it the agreed period 14 days you should give me a new one. This isn't my wrong to sell the famous mobile Samsung Galaxy S3.
I wish my words making you take the necessary actions to solve out this bad situation.

i upgreated my mobile galaxy s3 to 4.1.2 and also primum suite..there is some lag sometimes specialy when i want to open the contact.
the MOST SERIOS PROBLEM that i,m facing that i cant delete a page from the 4 or 5 pages that i have and when i add another one i cant delete it again.( touchwiz has been stopped). anyone facing the same prob.and how it could be solved.

I have had this Handset for 2 months now... and it is freaking AWSOME!!! After reading the feedback i don't dare to update it yet. Hows the battery life after the update?

vish.., 15 Jan 2013finally ended up getting the iphone 4s trust me its worth it You got a 4s when the 5 is out almost 1 year and the 6 or the 5s will be out this year. Not to mention the 4s connecter is no longer the apple standard but you call that money well spent. Yet you think we should trust you?

People that use there phone, have to charge it every night.

When will Samsung come forward with an answer to the "Sudden Death Syndrome" in SGS3 16GB?
Phones worlwide are faling and although it is said a new kernel will solve the problem, nothing has been officially assumed, yet.
The problem seems to affect 16gb Galaxy s3 after about 200 days of use and many have been repaired - apparently - by changing the motherboard.
Is this really the solution?
Can the problem be solved via OTA kernel updates?
Or...
Is Samsung only postponing the problem and phones will end up being affected AFTER the warranty expires???
It is time Samsung comes forward with an explanation and reassures current and future buyers whether there actually is a solution to this problem.
Trying to hide the evidence is just harming the company's reoputation.

Got this phone few days back. Was thinking of buying the Xperia P but now I feel I made a wise decision of buying this great phone. I was using galaxy SL previously and this upgrade is worth the money.
Screen is great for email, gmail and browsing.
Camera is excellent though it still can't replace a digicam. The zero shutter lag is truly amazing and rivals digicams. Auto focussing in center is done automatically without any touch and you just need to touch the shutter button. HD videos are extremely sharp in good lighting and reasonably ok indoors.
Battery life seems to be good and not as bad as what few people say here! After a day of moderate usage I still have 50 - 60% left and in standby it normally consumes less than 1% per hour. All this with wifi enabled and checking gmail, email occasionally, 10-15 messages and over 30-45 minutes of calls not to mention the frequent fiddling with the phone to change wallpapers, ringtones and others.
Features like direct dial, smart stay are truly innovative.
All in all this is a great phone providing value for money with plenty of features not available in any other models.
Being a quad core, slight lag in opening contacts and stock dialer is annoying. So I replaced it with exdialler which is very fast.
