hi.. im kinda new hir.
i have this phone and i updated it to JB 4.1.1
i noticed that i can't play fb games that requires adobe flash player
then when i tapped the "click here" link
it says not supported on your device.
so does this means that there is no way for me to play fb games?
i can do streaming using it btw.

Why sometimes when I am playing web video streaming with this phone the screen is only a static of different colors while the sound is clear?
It happened when I upgrade it to JB.
When it is still in ICS the video freezes while the sound continue.
What is happening to my S3?

No i don’t find it strange
The Poland ROM is dated December the 3rd. You have it before the official release.
And Samsung did the same crap with 4.1.1
I’m on holidays now till the New Year so i’ll find time to still give 4.1.2 a try.

you need to install kies and run (firmware upgrade and initialization) from the tools menu.
note: only connect the phone to the PC when instructed to in the initialization instructions.

Thanks for your help freefaller, appreciated it alot. The reason why i want to root my S3 is that; i bought it from someone pre-rooted and i'm already facing alot of problems as a result. So i want to unroot or reroot it with the official stock firmware so that i can enjoy the full features of it.

Perhaps 'a lot slower' was a typo error. 'A bit slower' would be more accurate. I compared my S3 against my friends one with v4.1.1
Mine was a fraction slower reurning back to the Home page; the same app on each phone was a fraction slower opening on mine. It wasn't anything in particular. Anyway, there wasn't anything in the update I NEEDED, so I went back to v4.1.1
It seems strange that the update hasn't been released to any other country yet, don't you think?

Android v4.1.2 has only been released in Poland so far, so unless you are Polish you wouldn't have received the update yet.
This is a link to a site that shows the countries that have received the update (it is updated daily).

It shows that only Poland has it so far, so if you are that impatient you will have to flash the phone yourself.
I have flashed my phone myself, and for some reason I haven't established yet, it is a lot slower.

I should also have added that your phone will no longer be recognised by Samsung. That is to say that you will no longer be able to update it via Kies or OTA, but if you still wish to root the phone then goto:

WHY do you want to root your phone. It is obvious from your post that you don't have the slightest idea of what you are doing. Rooting a phone is only for advanced users, which you obviously are not.
If you don't know what you are doing, and you don't, then you can cause irreparable harm to your phone.
If you can explain WHY you need rooted access we might be able to help you.

That is download mode.
It let you download ROMs to the ROM chip.
That is why it is called download mode.
