i'm planning to get this beast, but i'm a lil bit scared about of knock-offs, i'm not too techie to figure it out if i have a genuine galaxy s3 in my hand, is there any apps that can tells about whats inside of this phone? most likely of its processor and systems, i hope someone out there can help me

Do you have the correct drivers installed on your PC? If you have (yuk) Kies on it then YES, but if you don't then you will need to install them. You can find the drivers here:
32 Bit:

Also, are you using a proprietry lead? By that, I mean an official Samsung data cable. It might sound strange, but not all micro USB leads work the same. I have a micro USB lead that won't work on my S3 but works fine on a Nokia. They must be wired differently.

i bought s3 without warranty next week and i noticed dark dots in black screen while am in dark room ... and i have one big dots same size of front camera .... what shall i do ?? is this issue any one complain off , my device made in Vietnam , and can this dots increase in future ?

i called the call centre about the jb update and they said it has been rolled back due to bugs
