What did you do to test browser i am unfamiliar with browser testers,,thanks.....I can then check mine and see if something is making it run bit slow..

Wha... moredude in the first 10 days of charging the battery gonna feel discharging fast , mine after 10 days or 12 the battery got better and better, by the way i use ipad2 and the s3 the s3 browser is faster another thing thats a big display 4.8" so if u gonna use it 100% full brightness sure will consume more battery. from my long experience with androids what kills the battery is the high brightness and mobile data kept constantly on , i solved it by using a car charger and while in work connecting via usb to charge to my laptop thats how i always have good battery backup hhhhhhhhh :)))) also try html5test from thw browser and check ur score mine is about 412 exceeding even desktop browsers , the bad thing is in gaming as the new need for speed asphalt7 it lasts for only 6hours,

also am using my nokia 808 pureview charger its 1.4A faster than the 1A charger that comes with the s3

Lumia 920 is a bulky plastic brick, 185 g is more than Note II and even more than HTC Desire Z that is made of metal and have a full slide-out keyboard!
Lumia 920 does not have a FM-radio and can not play Adobe Flash 11 in the browser and Metro-UI is really ugly (but if you like the Metro-UI you can install a launcher on any Android to make it look and feel as WP8, but you can not install any different launcher on WP8)!
I can have more than 30 apps and games open on my S3 with no lag at all!

Android is full of crapware, bloatware and spyware that consumes power and data unknowingly.
had both the Lumia 900 (bloatware free, and Windows Marketplace has only few crapwares ) and GS 3, performance wise ,s3 wins. But it drains the battery alarmingly faster and consumes data larger than my 900. And when i do multitasking (like 3-4 open apps) it gets very laggy.,
i can't wait to upgrade my l900 to Nokia Lumia 920 and compare it to S3. But i think the L920 already won .

Anonymous, 21 Oct 2012use juice defender to extend your battery life. you always ... morePersonally I don't recommend Juice Defender or kinda apps. Cos the app itself will keep running in the background & that will consume battery.
Try out different settings first before using those apps.

people with s3 or sny other android phone with baterry issues kill all the apps runnin in the background i have used 2 androids phones and from my experiance reducing the brightness and using battery widgets to save juice would help you out

Buy old school phone with black and white screen. Great for texting and battery could last more than a week.

Wha... moreFor me, screen brightness usually stays below 20%. I find it glaring anything above that. It's really a personal preference.
I'm using Standard for screen mode.
It's cool to see those little thumbnails moving at the same time.
U can try to switch off Screen Rotation if not needed.

What screen mode you using i am using Dynamic for full colour but that may take more power.
I tell you what is mind blowing and that when i go to videos they are all playing in thumbnail view,,,its really odd seeing them all playing at once.Thats got to be using all quad-cores to do that.

I think your game & screen brightness are consuming the main bulk of energy. Well, as long we are having fun with it, charging is not a problem.

My battery stats is 63% screen,14% cell standby,haunted mansion game 10%,mediaserver 3%,android system 3%,android O/S 3%,flashlight 2%,operamini 2%.
Battery today lasted 8hrs 12 minutes with 2% left so defo need to kill screen brightness or get big battery..I dont see why i cant enjoy my screen at full blast with it glorious colours..Oh well cant have it all.
This is going to cause some arguments but its not as fast as iphone and browser is slow so had to download Opera mini.Over next week going to get rid of any apps i never use and tweak settings and disable email/twitter background refresh.
Actually we can compare fones by using Quadrant benchmark ,,when the 2 worlds are going past each other like moon orbiting planet it maxes out at 36 FPS..Now i think i hit 59 FPS using SGS2 so something is hitting GPU in my SGS3 i think...Does anyone else want to give this a try and post results.

ive used android phones before but I sell it because their battery drain fast. how many days if I use s3 for normal usage like texting with my friend whole day? i hope some people answer my question before i buy this phone i doubt between 4s and s3 battery life
