Well a had one back when they first came out and was a good phone at the time a think it was 2002 or 2003 can't mind but the only thing was it had crap storage only 8gb which is not a lot it was always say storage space running low need to delete old apps because you only got about 4gb the time the system storage took about half it only got about 2 or 3 games and it was full now you get storage up 256gb a big difference from back then

I just got this phone in brown, I'm VERY happy about it especially considering I paid a solid $6 USD for it and it's in mint condition

This and it's small sibling S3 mini form factor is the one for the minimal hardware industry can manufacture today.

Argueably one of the best phones of its era. Very well designed, and rock solid performance. I had 3 of these over the years, both privately and in busines. Super reliable, with great sound (excellent speaker phone function, one of the best). It became a bench mark for competitors and later designs.

One of the crap phone i ever had. Battery is so annoying. Drains fast even with minimal use. Had to use power bank. Manage to sell it after a month plus . no thanks Samsung. Never a flagship but a crapship.

i hv used this phone for more than five years. it is good though the on an off button ha broken twice. cannot connect to pc, always says usb malfunctioned. but i really like my phone, it is easy to use in any way and has good camera.

Using the S3 as external monitor for my Nikon D7200 with qDSLRdashboard app, much cheaper than spending $200 for a dedicated external monitor.

I use it as a music phone and it works perfectly to this day. I have a 64 GB micro SD card with loaded music. Under the settings I deactivated certain programs so that the RAM wasn't being used up wastefully. Additionally, I removed the lock screen for the device so I can instantly access my music without any senseless swiping. Doing the two aforementioned things greatly boosts the speed of the device. The bowser works fine If I want to access a YouTube video along with other sites. It is a solid phone to buy even in 2020. Technology really won't change until quantum computing comes to the market anyway.
Summary:
- Solid built phone for longevity
- Expand the space with a micro SD card from amazon
- Amazing phone to use as a tool
- Avoid too many apps as the RAM is minimal
